Initially abandoned in the 14th century, Poveglia served various purposes over the years, from being a military depot for ship activities to functioning as a vital quarantine island. These tales of its past have given rise to countless legends, some of which claim that Poveglia is haunted. At Hallowe'en time, images of Witches abound - we unwrap some myths & stereotypes...and the proper name for this ancient festival.

Bright lights are usually what people expect to keep spirits away...but things are so often not what you'd expect!

It's dark, damp, underground, abandoned...what could make it scarier?

Some famous - or infamous - places with more "spirit" than you'd expect.

The small village of Pluckley, UK is renowned for two things: a charming & humorous family drama called The Darling Buds Of May (set in 1950s rural Kent, filmed in the 1990s)...and for quite possibly being the most haunted place in England! There are plenty of other historic and interesting sites, but we're interested in the ghost stories!
