Straight off the bat I want to apologize for sounding like a fucking cyborg with terminal lung cancer in this podcast, we had the air conditioning on cause it was roasting in my apartment and apparently I had my mic settings on "sound like we're recording from the bottom of the Grand Canyon". Saturday was the Ginger Sports team day out at the RBC Canadian Open. So this week Darragh, Luke and I recapped everything that happened when we visited Glen Abbey on Saturday.

Highlights include my obsession with the best golfer on the planet, Robert Garrigus, Darragh's hatred for the world number 1 and winner of the tournament Dustin Johnson, our trip down temptation alley and both Luke and Darragh getting custard pies from Ian Poulter and Shane Lowrey.

Today me Darragh and Gordon speak about the most hated guys in football, featuring Joey Barton, El Hadji Diouf, Pepe the Frog and more...

Ehhhh about this episode, I just want to give out a warning that the people named in this podcast may or may not be genuine villains, El Hadji Diouf for example seems like he's a legitimately annoying human being, but I don't know him off the pitch, he could be a nice guy, I don't know. These are just our perceptions on certain peoples actions, on and off the pitch, so try to take it in good fun... except you John Terry, you're a tool.

Also I call Dani Carvajal Ricardo Carvalho at least 3 times and no one corrects me and Darragh says thug in the most Irish sounding sentence ever.

This week Martin, Darragh and myself talk about England vs Columbia, Neymar's Oscar nominated acting and VAR. This was originally only supposed to be a VAR podcast but as it was recorded just after the England game on Tuesday evening, we couldn't not discuss England winning their first penalty shootout in World Cup history.

If you listen to one bit of this podcast it should be Darragh and Martin trying to justify shirt pullilng in the box around minute 40... it's unbelievable. I think the VAR debate in the second half of this podcast is quite possibly the best section of podcasting that we've done, simply because of the passion shown on a controversial topic.

Luke and I preview this weekend's 2nd golf major of the year, the U.S. Open Championship at Shinniecock Hills in New York. This is our first podcast outside of football and it was a lot of fun, with the exception of me thinking that Jordan Speith needed this tournament for his Grand Slam of course... and mistakenly thinking Jason Day's mum had died... fortunately she's still alive. Apart from that it went swimmingly....
