Another fantastic guests joins Marcus in conversation in our latest episode. LA1 Shorts Festival Director, Steve Fairclough, shared his experiences in founding the short film festival in Lancaster, its development over the years and the plans he has for it going on into the future.

Steve is also a freelance Creative Facilitator which sees him getting involved in all sorts of different projects across creative industries. Whether it be film, creative writing or theatre, Steve has been at the heart of some really exciting projects.

Once again speaking to a passionate and enthusiastic individual who is continuously driven to make new things happen was a highly fulfilling experience for Marcus.

It's conversation time and this weeks guest from the world of cinema is Dean Cross. Dean is the Senior Screen Content Manager at Vue across the UK & Ireland. Marcus paid him a visit at Vue's Shepherd's Bush site in London to engage in a conversation full of film passion and excitement for everything on the big screen.

Recorded on location at the Vue Cinema in Sheppard's Bush, Dean shares with Marcus some really unique insights into what goes into scheduling so many films across a huge selection of screens, what Dean's role involves and the involvement Vue have with the major production companies throughout the filmmaking process. Sat amongst the seating in one of their cinema screens, the location made for the perfect setting to dive into all of these topics.

Once again, this was an amazing peek behind the curtain of the industry we all love so much. If how huge films are made and then put on the screen intrigues you, this is the episode for you. It'll become clear to your right from the beginning how passionate Dean is about film and that passion is something we always love on this podcast.
