ARTS: We now find out more about a project which celebrates the
life of Nokutela Mdima-Dube who was a qualified teacher who

founded Ohlange High School in Inanda, Durban. Her work was first
published in the US when she was 10 years old. She was an
established individual before marrying the ANC’s founding
president, John Langalibalele Dube, in 1894. Her story is being
highlighted and brought to life in a Legacy Creates project, titled
Amagama kaNokutela. We now speak to the Executive Producer of
the project, Asanda Sizani.

The Wits University Student Representative Council has
raised R12 million for students to clear a portion of their debt that

will help them register for the 2022 Academic Year. We’re now

BE DRIVEN: Nonhlanhla Mokoena-Chimhandamba is the co-founder and Managing Director of Urban Grown Organics, a team of young urban farmers who are putting a fresh feel on farming. Urban Grown has received recognition for the work they produce over the years and they recently secured a significant contract with the Shoprite Group to supply a variety of fresh vegetables. According to the Health Department less than 1% of men aged between 15 to 49 in South Africa have had Vasectomies. We now speak to 29-year-old Jag who’s currently in recovery after getting an irreversible vasectomy.

The National Prosecution Authority has welcomed the
conviction of the Walter Sisulu University student, Sibongile Mani, on
the theft charges at the East London Regional Court.
Mani was incorrectly paid R14 million in NSFAS cash by Intellimali.
She spent more than R800 000 on alcohol, cigarettes, blankets,
clothes for men, jackets, handbags, furniture, beauty products and
groceries at a supermarket, in a period of two months before the error
was spotted.
The payment she was due to receive was only R1 400.
Pre-sentencing proceedings are to be heard on 18 March.
