With over 40 years of experience at all levels of the industry from the mine to the marketplace, The Global Diamond Broker and GIA Judy are compelling, often funny and always precise in their distillation of the facts and even the figures about the global diamond industry from the mines and the labs right to the jewelry box or the vault.

Recently, we reported on De Beers and the poisoning of North Canadian soil by this iconic and legendary company who failed to report their toxic mercury levels and was eventually sentenced in territorial court to charges under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act.

We feel strongly that, as people make choices about theownership of their diamonds, they need to know the truth about what's going on.

We are deeply disappointed in De Beers for this action andbelieve they do much more good in the world than bad but this is Northern Canada; some of the most pristine wilderness in theworld and if De Beers is going to profit from being there we need to know they're going to protect it as well.

As we evolve and grow globally, we feel it's important to make changes to the benefit of our clients and viewers so starting next week, the podcast will be renamed "The Hard Truth Diamond Podcast" where Colin and GIA Judy become more and more audacious and provocative, taking listeners truly backstage into the diamond world and giving you the hard truth!

 The diamond industry is currently undergoing the deepest most exciting changes in its history. The old school guard for over a century is being pushed up against it by the new kid in town and things have become... tense.

With every week that goes by, up to and including this week and episode 37 of The Global Diamond Broker Podcast, we just get busier and busier and are shipping more and more to the four corners of the Earth.

Whoever would have thought we would be shipping diamonds to places like Myanmar and Taiwan, and really where we now ship our diamonds and diamond jewelry to includes 220 countries and territories globally.

It seems that today, more than ever, the global craving for our most beautiful diamonds in the world grows and grows and Colin and GIA Judy this week start totake listeners even further backstage and talk about the global diamond shows and the buckets and barrels full of diamonds and diamond jewelry that show up at these shows... well, it literally boggles the mind.

Well, GIA Judy and I are back from The Big Apple after a very successful trip to open our New York office and further increase our access to a global marketplacethat seems to really want access to the world's most beautiful diamonds at prices that defy comparison.

In fact, just this morning we have diamonds being shipped all over the world to Hong Kong, to Taiwan and with new clients coming on, from countries such as Qatar who find our pricing and our value proposition to be exactly what we say it is - the most beautiful diamonds in the world at prices that defy comparison seemingly, everywhere.

Upon our return from New York, our podcast this week talks a lot about how exciting it is as we build the company to match demand and expand our team not only in our head office in Vancouver but in New York and soon beyond including India and Antwerp.

Well I won't give too much more away but GIA Judy and I are our adorable selves as we educate on the diamond industry and diamond acquisition and take you across the globe and share with you backstage in the diamond industry in a way only we can - certainly the blowfish story from diamond brokering in Northern China is one you won't want to miss.

Well, welcome to this week's podcast coming to you from just off of Times Square in Downtown New York City where Colin and Judy are spending their days in the Diamond District brokering the world's most beautiful diamonds, and in the evenings… well, having fun!

Many of our friends and clients may not be aware that the New York Diamond District is the largest diamond district in North America and The Global Diamond Broker is now set up in 'The Big Apple' to broker directly from New York all across America and all across the world - usually within 24 hours!

Anyway, we are grateful to you for taking time to spend with us, and we are just preparing to board the plane back to Vancouver where things are very very busy and we need to prepare for our next global adventure.

Firstly to all our clients, friends and business associates the world over, we just want to say a very Happy Valentine's Day and to let you all know that we truly do love you!

Business for us could not be better and we are always reminded of the reason why, and really that reason is you so Happy Valentine's Day and please know how grateful we are.

This week's podcast is kind of fun and kind of funny as we become more and more famous in the social media world and the globe becomes smaller and smaller as new orders coming in have us shipping to countries such as Malaysia, Dubai, Taiwan, Hong Kong... and the list goes on as we seem to have struck gold for lack of a better way to say it by committing to the world's most beautiful diamonds for our clients at prices that defy comparison globally.

FYI, next week's podcast we will be coming to you from the Big Apple in New York... specifically Times Square as we visit what is the biggest diamond district in North America and to sell into that market more of our beautiful and rare diamonds and we're looking forward and going to have fun so make sure you tune in to hear that one.
