Rita and Hugo went to Vetenskapsfestivalen in Gothenburg to discuss with researchers Gregg Bucken-Knapp  (University of Gothenburg) and Karin Zelano (University of Oslo).

The starting point of the discussion is the release of Gregg's book “Messages from Ukraine” that portrays the testimonies of different Ukrainians and their respective decisions when war broke out, through a comic book form.

The discussion then turned more broadly to the topic of immigration, bringing a real human perspective to it.

On this Europe Day, Amanda and Harry talk about current events in the European Union. Hans Dahlgren, Sweden's Minister of EU Affairs, joins the conversation and shares his opinion on some of the challenges the EU is facing. This includes everything from EU cohesion and migration to climate change.

Harry and Amanda talk about the recent military coup in Myanmar. Dr Nay Lin Thin, who is currently in Myanmar, joins the conversation and shares his experience and perspective on the events that have taken place in his country. Everything from how his work as a medical practitioner has changed with relations to the pandemic and the military coup to civil disobedience and the violence. Axel Kronholm, freelance writer and expert on Myanmar, talks about how and why the situation has developed to this point.
