O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie! Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by. Yet in the dark street shineth the everlasting light. The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.

Christmas Day brings the celebration of the birth of the Son of God - Jesus the Christ, Messiah and Lord who meets all our hopes and fears. Hearing from Luke 2.v15-20 we take a view through the eyes of the shepherds above the village of Bethlehem and their visit to see the new-born Son of God.

As the series on Growing Young closes out, Pastor Mike asks what it takes to be the ‘Best Neighbour’. Being best neighbours is the 6thCore Commitment in the Growing Young wheel, with at its heart the call to be a Jesus Centred Community. Jesus spoke of the commitment to being a good neighbour and addressed who our neighbour is in the Parable of the Good Samaritan – a well-known word from Jesus, but one well worth going back to again and again to cement what level of neighbourliness we are all to.
