All too often, Christians have followed one and not the other; or in practice one versus the other. The world today might seem like it's going to hell but in truth, we live in a time of unprecedented wealth, health and prosperity, not only in the United States but around the world. The paradox is in a world with less suffering it becomes harder to understand why a God would allow suffering to happen.
