We start with a TikTok video by Dan McClellan in which he responds to a strange video claiming if you don't call Jesus by his "correct" name, you're going to hell. Check out Dan's TikTok channel for other insiteful and entertaining videos on Christianity and the Bible.
Next we struggle with how one becomes a Jesus follower. Becoming a Christ follower is often sold as simply saying a prayer and "letting Jesus into your heart". For many of us, that's been our experience. But for others, it might be more complicated than that. Do we discourage those who haven't had that converstion experience? Should we be more nuanced in describing how one becomes a follower of The Way.

Tim and Colton have their friend Andy make another guest appearance on the show. We start and finish this episode by discussing whether laws and modern rules in the workplace sometimes lead us to fail to take the right action as Christians (or just as human beings).

This episode was recorded in early November 2022. Tim and Colton discuss two hot topics. First NASCAR driver Ty Gibbs envokes Jesus when asked about getting booed by fans. What could go wrong??? Second, a young hockey player is still being penalized for something awful he did in junior high. When is it time to forgive? What lesson can Christians take from these stories?

This week it's our first Go To Hell at the Movies episode. Tim & Colton break down Clint Eastwood's western masterpiece Unforgiven. Eastwood's best movie is a rich, complex morality tale about the thin line between justice and vengeance.

Tim and Colton start 2023 with a couple of hot topics. First, we discuss the death of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, who died at the age of 95 and left quite a legacy. Second, we discuss the question many have asked for two millennia: why didn't Jesus write down His own teachings and biography?

Should old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? Should old acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne?
On this special (and long) New Year's episode of the podcast Tim and Colton talk a little about New Year and resolutions and a couple Hot Topics. We then play a little game of "Dogma or Doctrine?", discussing a variety of church confessionals and beliefs and discuss if and why they are dogma or doctrine, or just opinion.

On this special Christmas episode of The Go To Hell podcast, we find out Colton is a terrible gift giver and Tim has no female friends. Then we read from the two accounts of Jesus’ birth in the Bible, Matthew and Luke; discuss why there are two different accounts, what they mean, and speculate about other matters involving the birth of Jesus.
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill to all!

Many no longer find a home in one church or go looking for a church home elsewhere. Others leave church and never go back but they don’t leave the faith. And some of us spend a season of life (or all of our lives) roaming from church to church at itinerant believers. What’s the difference between church shopping and finding the right church? The reality is church is messy because it’s made up of messy Christians. We explore all of this and tell some personal stories of our messy church experiences.
Is there a difference in “members” leaving one church for another versus a church split?

Thanks for listening to the Go To Hell Podcast
Welcome to a bit of a wild and messy episode of the GTHP. Is the Word of God just the Bible or is it more than that? What does it mean to be “God-breathed”? Trouble can certainly arise when we stray too far from the Bible but do we limit our walk with Jesus by only understanding the Word of God is just the Bible? We discuss with our raucous buddy Nolan.
