We all have them…those movies and tv shows that we saw as kids that absolutely messed us up. The scenes that were so strange, unsettling, or transformative that you still think about them at random times in your life. What made you jump from the middle of your room onto your bed…just in case? Did you watch a movie as a little kid that has stuck with you and still creeps you out?
Join us as we run down what was supposed to be our Top 5 Creepy Childhood Cinematic/TV moments , but has rapidly expanded into an episode we submit for your approval…you’re entering THE WINDOW OF HORROR. Prepare yourself.
And also, it’s not particularly scary. We just talk about nostalgic childhood spooky moments and create an EPIC must watch movie list. Make sure to tell us the moments you agree with or what you think should have been included on our list. As always, you know what to do, Gobs…STAY WEIRD!!!!!
P.S. Scroll down for a list of the media mentioned in this episode and to get one hell of a movie recommendation list.

Aaaaannnnnd we're back! IT'S OCTOBER!!! To get all of you goblins ready for the best month of them all, we are sharing tales of witches, hauntings, and memories from Halloweens past.
Brooke has been waiting to talk about the Witch of York for over a year and it was absolutely worth the wait. Join us to hear the fantastic story of Ursula; soothsayer, cunning woman, and all-around badass. To say that we want to visit the cave mentioned in this episode is a SERIOUS understatement. We would live in the cave. 100 percent. And we would absolutely turn things into stone in the magical skull shaped pool. It's actually a moral obligation and a civic duty.
If witches aren't your thing, fear not! We also have the unusual and tragic tale of the Lemp Family and their ultimate misfortune. This story has everything: creepy tunnels, abandoned buildings, and a mansion that you can still visit today.
Join us while we share some gobliny history, a scary story, and reminisce about the glory that was Halloween in the 90s (and Sarah's real time realization that her plastic pumpkin was indeed NOT the shit) As always, you know what to do...STAY WEIRD!

We made it to 40! Woo! Now THAT’S something to celebrate! In the spirit of Episode 40, join us as we talk about…whatever we want. Really. That’s what we do in this episode. We have a conversation about “oysters” aka the weird, unusual, or goblincore things that have been taking up all of our free thinking time. Since oysters are one type of mollusk that produces pearls, we decided to share our “pearls” of opinion on outer space, angler fish, our current DnD campaign, smutty faerie books (DO we finally host that live streamed book club?) and so much more.
Join us, Brooke and Sarah, as we continue to discover what it means to show up for your creative process. Not every episode, painting, written word, or spoken scene has to be a masterpiece. It is the act of showing up each day, as your goblin-y, opinionated, unique self that can make life so incredibly rich. Much like a goblin with its trinkets. Oh so many trinkets.
Surround yourself with attempts. Take an action if you’re stuck, any action. Don’t let fear or perfection stop you from attempting to make progress on your dreams. You know you have an entire weird group of goblins to hype you up. And you know it’s going to be chaotic.
In this episode, we mention Dungeons and Dragons which we discuss prominently during

The gobs are back, and they saw a Hodag!
The Goblin Squad returns as we scramble through the alleys and thoroughfares of Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Also known as the home of the beloved cryptid, the Hodag. The people of this town in northern Wisconsin don’t just have a cryptid, they ARE the cryptids. The Hodag has been adopted as the mascot for the entire town, extending all the way to businesses, teams, art work, and imagery. If you’re going to explore a town best known for its mystery creature, you better have a good local guide. The Gobs want to shout out and thank Ben Brunell and Kerry Bloedorn for taking time to talk with us, and for bringing the genuine enthusiasm of the Hodag story to another generation of people.
We explored, we learned, we scream-sang 4 Non Blondes in a bank that became a bar. But most importantly, we never forgot to STAY WEIRD!
Check out the many links below to all the Hodag social channels, cool stops in Rhinelander, and past episodes where we talk about the Hodag and other cryptids mentioned in this episode. Don’t forget to comment, leave a review, follow, subscribe, do all the things. They make a huge impact on the number of gobs we are able to reach each week. It means the world to us when you reach out and tell us you have enjoyed the show. It’s good to be back, Goblins! Brooke & Sarah

Grab your broomsticks, prepare your cauldrons, and brace for stereotypes as we fly into Episode 36 of The Goblin Squad...Pop Culture Witches!!
Join us as we talk about some of our fav denizens of the witchy realm in cinema and television. What's the deal with always being labeled a bride of Satan?? And if we are, we're pretty sure we never received any kind of wedding gift (um...where is my toad familiar, thank you very much). We talk big hair, spell work, controversial and beloved fan fiction and so much more!
If you are just joining the Squad, it would be really helpful if you dropped a review or comment for this episode. We love making this podcast and your support helps us continue to produce content each month. Subscribe, like, follow, share, recommend, but most importantly...STAY WEIRD!!!!
Here's the link to the cursed and beloved Fan Fic. Remember, this fic has HEAVY adult themes and multiple trigger warnings. We tried to tell you:

We've all heard the tales...King Tut's Tomb, the Hope Diamond, cars that no one should drive, rings that no one should wear...we're talking CURSED OBJECTS!!
Fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the ride as we tackle a not-so-real cursed painting (well, the painting is real but the curse? Decide for yourself), a historic illuminated text that is the only one of its kind, and a notorious doll that has become a haunted member of horror movie iconography.
Also, there may or may not be a moment in this episode where we are SO SCARED that there is involuntary crying. Ghosts, am i right? (we promise it's not too scary).
Join Brooke and Sarah for another bizarre, laughter-filled episode of The Goblin Squad and remember...STAY WEIRD!
Hey Gobs, if you could rate and review the show, that would be SOOOOO helpful to this pod. We love making it and want to continue to do so. Leaving 5 stars and a blurb helps the pod reach more gobs around the world. We love you and thank you! - B & S
