This week let's take out our journals and notice all that we love about ourselves, our lives, our personalities, our beliefs and our values. What's great right now? How can we continue to get more great feelings, things, situations, etc. Digging deeper and getting clearer who we are and who we want to be.
I want us all to let go of the shoulds that might creep up. Like I should be working X amount of hours a day, or I should be making X amount of money to be successful. Let go of should and replace with wants. Wants that inspire, that make you excited and lead you to taking inspired action.
Let's get clear on the goals for the rest of the year. Dream it, plan it and start taking action. An important thing that I must continue to remind myself is to give yourself grace along this journey. There are many things I really want to be accomplishing, or wish I have accomplished already this year, but there are things outside of my control that can sometimes limit the amount of time I have to take the action steps I dream of.
Here are your journal prompts for today. We’re pretty much at the ½ point in the year 2023. What parts of you do you want to continue to nurture and grow? What are the goals you have already accomplished this year? Notice all that you have already done. Big or small what to do you dream of accomplishing, finishing, starting, or doing by the end of this year? Write it out, by the end of this year I will……. And pick 3 things, you know you can achieve. Then dreaming bigger, writing out by the end of this year I dream of …. And write whatever you dream of not knowing if you can make it happen or not, but noticing how amazing it would be if you did.
Now on to today’s meditation.
Take a moment to settle in, release any tension throughout your body, stretching, breathing and letting go.
Release any tension in your neck, your back, your shoulders, arms, legs, wrist, ankles, fingers and toes. Close your eyes, unclench your jaw, relax your forehead and take a deep breath in and out.
I am getting clearer on who I am and who I want to be.
I take the time to notice all that I have accomplished in my life, specially the 1st ½ of this year. I give myself credit for all things big and small.
I am continuing to let go of all that does not serve me.
Take a moment to visualize yourself accomplishing 3 things you know you can do this year. Step inside that moment. See it happening right in front of you. Dream it in detail. See yourself not too far up ahead in the future doing exactly what you set out to do. Maybe it’s a health goal, a career goal, a living space goal or relationship goal. See yourself taking inspired action, enjoying each moment making your dreams your reality.
Now see yourself dreaming bigger, the things that may seem so far out of reach… see yourself in that dream come true. Feel all the feelings that surround it. See yourself in that moment. You did it. You can’t believe it, but deep down you know you could, you believed in yourself and created this wonderful dream come true. You are living your dream life. Filling with gratitude, peace, mindfulness, love and appreciation. You're healthy, happy, loving and loved.
Now come back again to what I’m calling your obtainable goals, bring your focus to them and give yourself grace along the way. Know your big dream is out into the universe and the more you put it out there the more the universe supports you. Continue this week to take inspired action towards your goals.
Dream it, see it in detail, and see the inspired action steps you’ll take today, this week, this month and this year.
Now take your time coming back to the present moment. Knowing the universe will support your dreams as long as you are taking any small steps of inspired action. Bring your awareness back to today, take a deep breath in and out.
