For those who don't know: Jonny is a rock/pop artist originally from South Carolina that has performed in BIG shows at Royale and Brighton Music Hall due to accruing a big college following (BU and Berklee) in the city. He has BIG Spotify numbers and my guys' music is hitting! He has a really good sense of how to maneuver his career going forward. We chopped it up about how he came to the city, marketing himself as a Pop Artist in the city, the Boston Music Awards community, and positive energy. Run it up for my guy!

Episode 47.
Now Introducing an all time classic Golden Hours episode with my new favorite Arena Football Team, the Massachusetts Pirates. For those who don't know: The Mass Pirates are a professional arena football team situated at the DCU Center in Worcester, and just finished their inaugural season in 1st place. My guy Jawad (President and General Manager) started the team within 6 months, and brought in tons of talent from all over the country. Including Center Thomas Claiborne (former Center under Matt Ryan at BC, played for the TB Buccaneers) and my guy MeatBoi (Demetruce McNeal, DB for the National Champion Auburn Tigers, and later a Green Bay Packers CB). It was a long one but a good one fammo! We talked about the inception of the team, the balance of being a professional athlete for 4 months of the year, the NCAA, and a bunch of other stuff. Hope y'all enjoy, run it up fammo!

The Young Spitter! Glad we could finally get Mizzie over to the GDP HQ (@phxdownstudios)to chop it up. He also brought along my guy Scooba, who is seasoned in the Boston Music Scene, so the contrast in age was interesting! My guy Mizzie is 19 and put his name on the map 3 YEARS AGO, at 15 with his "Guccivelli Freestyle". Big GDP actually used this song in this video back in Spring 2018 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVx9fX9F5N0), song of the summer. Mizzie chopped it up about growing up around older kids, being a "hood rapper" vs. being an artist, his love for Boston, and NOT being in his feelings. Shoutout to the young gun!

Big GMB Gunnaman finally locked a time brotha! I had linked with Gunnaman at the studio a couple months back and I was happy to have my guy slide up to the show. For those who don't know: Gunnaman is a rapper from Cleveland, Ohio but now makes music in Boston because he relocated to Boston when his brother Terry Rozier was drafted by the Celtics. This episode was on the shorter side but we chopped it up about how he secured a feature from Young Thug (2 Sides- big smash), him being a campus celebrity at Louisville, the difference's between Cleveland and Boston, and wanting to hold his own while his broski is in the NBA. Shoutout to Casey for his White Boy Hustle and starting up a popping apparel brand out of the city and building Encore to the point where he has prime real estate on Newbury Street. Casey runs Encore Apparel and started it up on a WHIM after a long career in corporate America and now has his hands DEEP in Boston Music (specifically rock, alternative, and country) at his store on 303 Newbury Street. He has been throwing intimate shows for local acts. Hector and Big Beach actually ran a couple episodes of the Golden Hours in the store months back. The Crossover of the Rookie and the Vet! Noble is a the sole founder and creator of The Museum TV; which originated 5 years ago as a platform to service the music/urban culture in Boston. Over here in the GDP Camp, we celebrate every 10 Episodes, so I was fired up to have my guy Mike up on the show. Mike runs the HUGE online fitness brand and YouTube Channel, Anabolic Aliens; and we coincidentally work out at the same gym. He's a real gem in the city because we have no one else making a mark in the fitness influencer community (a massive internet sub culture right now) than him. He's crazy knowledgeable on nutrition and fitness and we chopped it up about a lot. Big Nick Gray and his homie/roommate/media partner Ryan Schaefer came over to the GDP studios (Phoenix Down Recording- get ya session booked here), and chopped it up for a PM episode. Nick started putting work in with a group called Pilot Nation (with Jefe Replay and Cousin Stizz) WAY back and has now just got his first tour with the band Waterpark. My guy Ryan is NICE on the video sticks, and has had his hands on some crazy projects over the years including Lil Yachty's One Night and Denzel Curry's Ultimate.
