In this first episode we talk about The Good Doctors podcast and an introduction to us, Dr Ron Ehrlich & Dr Michelle Woolhouse. What we are going to be covering in the coming weeks and months and our vision for doing the podcast.
We discuss health, wellness and disease management incorporating nutritional and environmental medicine; from healthy soils to healthy animals, food, people and planet; mind-body medicine; and breaking stress down to help empower people to better health.
About Dr Ron Ehrlich
Dr. Ron graduated from Sydney University in 1978 and is the founder of the Sydney Holistic Dental Centre. He has undertaken research at UNSW, written papers and articles, appeared on radio and TV, and is a contributing author in “Complimentary Therapies in Dentistry” (Nutrition Chapter).
He gained his fellowship in 1996 and is Vice-president and board member of the Australasian College of Nutritional & Environmental Medicine (ACNEM). He is currently Chairman of their Advocacy Committee.
He is board member & co-founder of Nourishing Australia, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to informing, educating and inspiring people about the critical importance of healthy soils, nutrient-dense foods and sustainable farming, bringing together principles of holistic healthcare and holistic farm management for the health of people, communities and ultimately, our planet.
About Dr Michelle Woolhouse
Dr Michelle Woolhouse completed her medical training at Monash University in 1996, she then went on to complete her fellowship with Royal Australian College of General Practitioner’s (RACGP) in 2001. In addition she has completed courses in Hypnotherapy, nutritional medicine (aka naturopathy) and mind-body medicine at Swinburne University. She studied Vietnamese Acupuncture at the traditional Hospital in Ho Chi Minh and has studied various forms of meditation and philosophical traditions including Buddhism, yoga and sound therapy.
She has been on the board of the Australian Integrative Medical Association (AIMA), was a founding member of the working party for the RACGP on integrative medicine and is currently a board member for the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM). She writes regularly for magazines, journals and is a popular speaker at conferences.
Michelle is passionate about holistic health as the founding director of Peninsula Holistic General Practice.
