TEXT: EPHESIANS 4:17 - 5:5

It's getting harder by the day to hear sermons of holiness and living right, yet it must be preached. God has called us out to live according to His likeness in righteousness and purity of the truth.

It can be challenging at times, to not get entangled in the way and standards of the world, but knowing where to draw the line is critical when walking with God. The bible says that "...friendship with the world is enmity with God." - James 4:4. We are called to a new life, so that the world will see God in us, and not the other way round.

In our bible text, we see how a people who God loved so dearly, repeatedly walked in disobedience.

There are great consequences when we choose to disobey God. In today's message, the Holy Spirit is teaching us to accord our maker, the Lord of Lords the honor due to Him.

Considering the noise and distractions of the times, it has become more critical than ever to hear God clearly when He speaks. We know that God is not an author of confusion. When He speaks, He is direct and precise. However, we tend to question what we hear if what we hear is not entirely going in our direction or expectation. Still, we must make sure that we carry out His instructions just as it was given to us. No edits.

There is a reason why the bible says that "wisdom is profitable to direct". It is because it is not always obvious. The flesh will always be at war with the spirit, but it takes wisdom to overcome it. As we continue our walk in this life, it is important to understand that we will always be faced with the temptation to conform to the trends of this age, but bible says to "...let our minds be renewed...".

He did not just die for us; he died a slow and painful death. Prior to that he was mocked, ridiculed, and even spat on, all for our sake!

What manner of love is this? He did not have to do it, but he did it anyway.
