Hello and welcome back to The Good Shizz, my name is Cait, I’m your host, and this week, episode 6, I’m in conversation with singer-songwriter and Cellist, Grace Elizabeth Harvey.
I first met Grace at a writing camp in North Wales - where she turned up on a broken leg, with a cello and guitar in tow.
But the first time I heard her sing… it genuinely caught me off guard.
When you come across a musician and a voice that instantly break you out of your conscious mind, there is nothing else to do but pay attention.
Her vocal is incredibly commanding; depth, control, technique, clarity, never clouding her ability to render character and emotion.
And her writing holds that same weight. So descriptive, yet clear, never feeling forced or over engineered.
It probably won’t surprise you to hear that Grace has already picked up some serious recognition. She won the Young Songwriter’s Competition in 2025, and has since been awarded the PPL Momentum Accelerator Fund for her next EP, Songs of Devotion.
If you haven’t listened to Grace’s work, go do that now, or later, once you’ve heard this episode!
Her debut EP, Other Faith, introduced this beautifully distinct world she’s building, one that blends intricate harmony and poetic curiosity.
In this episode, we talk about her journey, her creative process, and what it means to find your voice, not just technically, but artistically, and convincingly.
I adored this conversation, and I think you will too. Let’s get to it!
