  • 50. Gus

Sorry to all who were expecting Uncle Boonmee! We had to switch things up again, and that means it is a Lukas choice! To end season 3, we watched the 1976 Disney live action film "Gus", which is about a mule that has the extraordinary skill of kicking long distance field goals in football. This film has everything: field goal kicking mules, slide whistles, NFL legend Dick Butkus, and the former country of Yugoslavia! Can Gus actually make the California Atoms football team contenders for the title? How does this compare to "The Cat From Outer Space"? And did someone really die in real life from x-ray radiation while watching a doctor and nurse have sex? Tune in to find out all this and more, but only on "The Good, The Bad, & The Movies"!

  • Writer's Block: The Munchies

You've seen it before... The combo of Seth Rogen and James Franco doing what they do best! Getting high and eating lots of food in movies. In this week's episode of "Writer's Block", we explore an idea where two friends find that they are capable of eating a lot of food when they are high on marijuana, so much so, that they decide to enter eating competitions and compete while high. Additionally, you get some informal script ideas about Lukas' great great great uncle and the innocence gang. Will the friends competitive drive tear their friendship apart? Did Lukas just plug himself into his own movie? And does Lukas have a man that follows him around and terrorizes him? Tune in to find out all these answers and more, but only on "The Good, The Bad, & The Movies"!

  • 49. Top Gun

Get ready to enter the Danger Zone. With the sequel coming out later this week, in this week's episode, we take on an 80's classic in "Top Gun". Without Devon, Brandon and Lukas dive into what can make or break an action movie, and how to balance the action with other aspects. With a fan favorite 80's classic, it will be important for us to decide if we actually think Top Gun is good, or if our judgement clouded by the nostalgia. How high was the budget to get to use all of these jets and aircraft carriers? Was this movie able to recruit more people to the Navy like Lukas guessed? And did Brandon and Lukas get all hot and steamy during the famous beach volleyball scene? Tune in to find out all this and more, but only on "The Good, The Bad, & The Movies"!

  • Writer's Block: The Innocent

Wow it has been a while! We were so busy last week and then took some huge naps, that we missed last week's episode. But we are back this week and greatly refreshed. In a change of pace, we have no scripts for you in this week's episode of "Writer's Block", but rather some informal, blue collar, working class ideas for "The Hoarder" had we written scripts. Additionally, we get another classic Western epic of Lukas' family. In this episode, we get the story of Lukas' uncle, who was a sheriff of Bannack, Montana, and rumored to also be the leader of a local vigilante outlaw gang called 'The Innocence'. His uncle was caught and hung for his actions, but some stories say that his uncle was wrongfully accused of his actions. Get ready to put your thinking caps on because this idea will get you thinking. Was Lukas' uncle actually guilty? Is this actually an interactive, choose your adventure western stylized movie with randomly generated alternate endings on DVD? And who the heck are 'Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds'? Tune in to find out all of this and more, but only on "The Good, The Bad, & The Movies"!

  • 48. Super Mario Bros. (1993)

It'sa Me! Mario! And thisa week, we watched the 1993 live action video game adaptation of "Super Mario Bros.". Buckle in as we dive into Brooklyn and an alternate dimension full of dinosaurs, street crime, and fungus in order to save princess Daisy. Yes! You read that correctly. Not saving Princess Peach, but Daisy instead. Along the way we encounter 'creative interpretations' of Goombas, Yoshi, King Koopa, and the Mushroom Kingdom itself. Plus, you get two recordings for the price of one, as we split the recording in two and recorded at Devon's and Brandon's place. Do Mario and Luigi save Princess Daisy and the Mushroom Kingdom? How often does Devon have an erection in his new apartment? And did Lukas just predict a second American tragedy? Tune in this week to find out all this and more, but only on "The Good, The Bad, & The Movies"!

  • 47. Little Nicky (ft. Carter Snedigar)

Finally! We have a long awaited guest joining us on the show. In this episode, we welcome Brandon's little brother, Carter, for them to review a movie that they frankly watched too many times and at too young of an age. Without Devon, the three of us dive into the "Happy Madison Production" company filmography and take a stab at a non-traditional Adam Sandler film, "Little Nicky". In this movie, Sandler is one of three sons of the devil, and must save his father when his two brothers attempt to take the throne from him. Throw in a talking dogs, lots of trans and homophobic scenes, and a terrible speech impediment, and you get Little Nicky! Which brother ends up taking down the other two? Why are there so many Oscar winners and nominees in this film? And how often does Popeyes mess up your order? Tune in this week to find out all this and more, but only on "The Good, The Bad, & The Movies"!

  • Writer's Block: The Hoarder

After 5 weeks of some more playful scripts, it is time for Brandon to get deep again. In this week's episode of "Writer's Block", we create the story of an elderly man who is a hoarder and suffers from dementia. He lost his wife over a decade ago and has trouble remembering his time with her, until it is time for him to move out of his house and clean up the mess inside. As he cleans, he uncovers lost memories that take him back to his younger years with his wife and kids. Additionally, we bring some not so kid friendly scripts for a playful Air Bud/UFC crossover film. What kind of items does this old man find while cleaning his home? What odd choice did Brandon pick for Air Bud's sparring partner? And why is Lukas trying to bring an animated "Pete the Cat" into this serious film? Find out the answer to all these questions and more, but only on "The Good, The Bad, & The Movies"!

  • 46. Spy Kids

This week it's a Lukas Choice (ding ding ding ding ding)! It's time for a childhood classic! We lost Devon due to him being super busy and not caring about our feelings one bit. And then we had to make a last minute change to our movie, so we landed on "Spy Kids". In this episode, we dive into the world of retired spies being captured by an evil villain, and their kids starting their journeys as spies to rescue them. Where did the idea of "Spy Kids" originate from? What in the world are Floop's Fooglies and the Thumb-Thumbs? And if Devon is seriously sick with bitchitis, why is he on video call? Tune in this week to find out all these answers and more, but only on "The Good, The Bad, & The Movies"!

  • Writer's Block: Air Bud 8 - Arm Bark

IT'S TIME! Everyone gather round for the main event, where the popular athlete dog "Air Bud" enters the world of mixed martial arts and tries to claim the belt as the best fighter. In this week's episode of "Writer's Block", we are back for the second dog themed movie idea in a row, and we bring Air Bud to life and put him smack dab into the UFC octagon. Also, you get to hear some alien, Miami, dog themed scripts from last week's episode from Brandon, Lukas, AND MARINA! Now why is Air Bud fighting in the UFC? Does he use his teeth and claws when he fights? And who in the world is Maynard Ferguson, and why does Lukas know who he is? Tune in this week to find out all of this and more, but only on "The Good, The Bad, & The Movies"!

  • 45. Dragon Wars: D-Wars

Are you a fan of Korean cinema? Well whether you answer yes or no, it shouldn't really matter, as this Korean film is very Americanized. This week, we watched the CGI filled, story ridden, "Dragon Wars". In this episode, we dive deep into the ideas of Imoogis, the Yuh Yi Joo, and utilitarianism. Just how much money did this movie go over budget? Why are the political views of Godzilla being discussed? And why are there interludes of smooth jazz interspersed into the episode? Find out all this and more, but only on this week's episode of "The Good, The Bad, & The Movies"!
