The Good, The Bad, and The Sequel

LISTENERS....LEND US YOUR REARS!!!!  Ace Ventura When Nature Calls is a sequel that goes toe to toe with the original, both Jamie and Doug thought it was better.  They discussed all the spoofs, recycled lines from the 1st film, random Subway Billboards, and of course where do you get a mechanical Rhino in Africa?!?  Review and rate us 5 stars, please. ALRIGHHHTTYYY THENNNNN

Next week's interview with the amazing and gorgeous Vanessa Angel.  You know her from Kingpin, Weird Science the TV show, and so much more.  We chatted with her about her career and the next film we are discussing "Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 starring Vanessa alongside Jon Voight and Scott Baio.

This week we are discussing "Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama 2" and this is one by far the shortest sequel we will ever cover. This one had us discussing a little green Imp who tricks people by offering wishes, the lack of background actors, the shoehorned plot, Kelli freakin' Maroney, if the bowling alley was an active business, and more.

The next sequel up is a movie that is the conversation whenever people discuss "Worst Sequels Ever" with "Speed 2: Cruise Control" and for it, I chatted with an actress who is a Soap star from "Days of Our Lives" who has been in everything from Different Strokes to The Burbs to Step by Step and a ton more. Of course, I am talking about Patrika Darbo! We talked about being on Johnny Carson, the power of Soap fans, and her journey from Florida to Hollywood. Super fun chat.

Shane wrote most of his Full Moon Credits under the name Kent Roudebush. Shane/Kent talked about his journey from Indiana to Hollywood, his early writing jobs, his friendship with the writer of Critters, Dominic Muir, a meeting at Amblin, and a ton more.

This week we are discussing "Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol" and this is one of the best action sequels we've ever covered but we still had a lot to discuss. This one had us discussing too many twists, Simon Pegg's terrible inventions, how Ethan Hunt would've died multiple times in this movie, the terrible security, and a ton more.

The next sequel up is Full Moon Feature, "Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama 2" and for it, I chatted with the writer of it, Kent Roudebush... who doesn't exist, the man behind Kent is Shane Bitterling. The next sequel we will discuss is "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol". For it, I chatted with someone who wears a lot of hats on set, David Codeglia, and for this sequel, he did visual effects. David has had quite the journey and it began with his dad bringing home old film equipment for him and his twin to mess around with. We talked about his early days as a PA, filming weddings, the process of getting VFX shots approved, shooting behind the scenes for Star Trek Into the Darkness, directing "The Break Down", and a ton more. Great chat.

This week we are discussing "Leprechaun 4: In Space." This was a Hall pass pick by me and it also is our 6 year anniversary! This sequel I remember watching at my buddy Tom's as a 10 year old and it's still just as bad as I remember. We talked about bad CGI, Lep with a lightsaber, how Leprechaun's power usage makes no sense, the set pieces, and so much more. Happy St. Patty's Day, Sequel Lovers!

This week we are talking about "Messengers 2: The Scarecrow." This was a perfect mix of a potentially great sequel but too many odd things. This one gave us so much to discuss and we even invented the "Scare-Man". We talked about how terrible John is to his wife, is the scarecrow traveling to help John, the 6th Sense twist, corn farming, and more. This was a blast to record
