The spread of dangerous misinformation online has been brought into sharp focus during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent vaccine rollout. So much so, an Imperial College London study found that misinformation online had led to a decrease in vaccine intent among 6.2% of people in the UK and 6.4% in the US. 

So with the spread of misinformation online putting people’s lives in danger, what can be done to stop it?
