In this episode, driver Fred Krint and clippy Hilary Boot drive the last tram from Clapham to Highgate for the ceremonial closing of Kingsway Subway. However, Ned Seagoon of the Redundant Transport Department receives a mysterious phone call that puts him on the track of a tramcar still at large somewhere between Clapham and Highgate.
