Bwana Bloodnok and Bwana Seagoon on an expedition to Chinese West Africa, where they are hot on the trail of a gorilla with very comfortable boots. The footprints of the gorilla mysteriously disappear behind a pepper bush, only to be replaced by impressions of hobnail boots. The story takes a humorous turn as they try to trap the booted gorilla by setting up a portable boot repairer's shop in the jungle.
