Hello, and welcome to April. No jokes here this time, we've got a brand new podcast to start the month. Ryan and Prescott chat all things 100-point Buffalo Sabres, including what they learned about the team amid a blip where a few bounces go a different way and we'd be calling it a losing streak.

Just how important is Zach Metza and the probably-injured Sam Carrick to what this team is capable of? Is UPL the #1 goalie until further notice? And just how much should you celebrate once the team's magic number finally hits zero? All this, and much more as we speculate wildly and dream big.

There's some Bills talk in the back half of the show, including a bit of draft hubub and general boredom about this stage of the NFL offseason. We'll always talk a bit about our (Orchard Park) boys in red, white, and blue, but spring hockey is upon us. We're ready for the stretch run, baby.

Ryan and Prescott are back to talk about another week of Sabres hockey as the team inches closer to finally breaking the playoff drought. They discuss some disappointing trade acquisitions, what expectations for the team should be heading into the postseason, and what a West Coast road trip could do for them over the next week. Also: bring back blogs, like Roost co-founder Chris Ryndak did last week.

Bills free agency is part two of the show. Prescott seems much more upset over the Bills not making a big move than Ryan, and the Jaylen Waddle trade to the Broncos that happened hours after we recorded won't help all that much. It's a good conversation, though an unfinished one as free agency continues and the draft looms large.

The podcast wraps up with Prescott lamenting the state of Liverpool Football Club, a discussion about the weird place the Premier League is in, and a little bit about Rick Steves live in concert.

Hello there, long time no talk. Ryan and Prescott have had some things get in the way, but after Sabres 8, Lightning 7 there was no way they weren't going to find a way to chat for a bit.

The Buffalo Sabres are front and center on this RoostCast, as the two get into all the details of a huge statement win for a Sabres team that might, finally, be all the way back. Ryan gets to be an old guy about the former Sabres magic, and Rasmus Dahlin gets a lot of love along with plenty of other Sabres.

They also talk about the Tage Thompson of it all, digging into some post-Olympic fallout and talk about why everything, even the good things, somehow feels a little bit worse these days. They also talk a bit about the DJ Moore trade, the Bills re-signing Connor McGovern, and Ryan explains how Foxborough is putting Bob Kraft and FIFA through a glorious negotiation everyone can agree rocks.

We appreciate you bearing with us with some travel and baby delays. Expect another episode later in the week to make up for it, and talk more puck and Bills free agency.

Ryan & Prescott asked for questions, and boy, did the Patrons deliver. An accidental Rogan Mode broke out on Tuesday night, with so many topics to cover. The conversation bounced from the Bills’ offseason to the Olympics to the guys’ favorite historical places in New York. Prescott also shared his story from sitting front row at a Stavros Halkias show in Buffalo last week.

A day late thanks to a mixture of college hockey and fatherhood, but the takes about Super Bowl LX from Ryan & Prescott are still piping hot. The FRAUD stamp is evergreen, after all.

Few things went right for the New England Patriots in their defeat at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks. The only Bills seen at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday were in the crowd (Hi, Dion!) Just how close is the team to lifting the Lombardi Trophy next winter? It’s not all doom and gloom in Buffalo, but the guys do have genuine concerns about the Bills getting over the hump next season.

The fellas then share their love for the halftime show and the NFL’s recent trend of hitting it out of the park with the biggest entertainment performance of the year. They wrap up the episode by discussing the bond between art and sports—and the unique value both provide in enriching people’s lives.

It’s been said there are decades when nothing happens, and weeks—like last week—into which an entire lifetime is compressed. The Buffalo Bills have a new head coach, and the Buffalo Sabres continue to amaze.

With the dust beginning to settle in Orchard Park, Ryan & Prescott share their feelings on the Bills promoting Joe Brady to head coach. Even if the long-term result of this decision proves to be the right one, that success would come in spite of a particularly backwards process at One Bills Drive.

As for the load-bearing distraction from life in these United States that is the Buffalo Sabres—well, it turns out Lindy Ruff’s boys can do no wrong. Who saw that coming two months ago? Ryan & Prescott send the blue & gold more flowers after coming back from two goals down in Florida on Monday to beat the Panthers 5-3. This team is good. Your eyes see it, and the math backs it up.

The Super Bowl is in a few days. Even if the matchup is hardly a desired one in WNY, any excuse to grab food and/or beverages with friends and loved ones should be cherished. Enjoy it.

It's been a week since the firing of Sean McDermott and the dust hasn't fully settled yet at One Bills Drive. Ryan & Prescott give their reflections of last week's press conference with Terry Pegula and Brandon Beane, before their latest thoughts on the Bills coaching search. Should the Bills hire one of the boy wonders they've interviewed so far? Will they go for the established name that they already know? Is there a secret candidate we don't know yet?!

The fellas comment breifly on the conference title games before discussing our favorite team of all, the Buffalo Sabres. They were 11-14-4 on December 8th. They are now 29-17-5. Aren't they just the best?

Also, huge congratulations to friend of the show and ball knower, Victoria Zeller! Her novel "One Of The Boys" won the Stonewall Book Award at the American Library Association's Youth Media Awards in Chicago on Monday. It's a real treat when good things happen to good people, and she no one deserves it more. Pick up "One Of The Boys" wherever books are sold, but please not Amazon.

It's a frightening time in these United States. People are being executed on the street by the federal government for trying to protect their neighbors. Even in such unimaginable darkness, there are shining lights. The people of Minnesota proved that MAGA ideology is false. They are the brave ones. Renee Good and Alex Pretti are heroes. We will win, but the fight for our neighbors and our communities is far from over. Take care of yourself, your friends, your loved ones, and also take care of the people you don't know. Love yas.

EVENTS MOVE QUICKLY, MISTER CHAPO

Since we last published a podcast, way back on Friday, the Buffalo Bills were dumped out of the playoffs by the Denver Broncos and then fired head coach Sean McDermott, while promoting general manager Brandon Beane to president of football operations. What’s new with you??

After a couple of weeks away from the show while on newborn duty, Ryan took a break from being a first-time dad to share his thoughts on the events of the past few days for the Bills. Also joining the show, after time spent galavanting around NYC with Robin Griswold and multiple Defector writers, was longtime friend of the pod Victoria Zeller. Prescott was around and could record whenever. Luckily for everyone, all three had availability at the same time. Huzzah!

It goes without saying that we’ll be monitoring anything related to the Bills’ coaching search like a hawk. The franchise will be under a microscope this offseason. Here’s hoping the person guiding this “Choose Your Own Adventure” book knows what he’s doing.

This was a fun episode. Yes, it’s been a frustrating couple of days, but it’s good to know we’re all in the foxhole together with the stupid idiot Bills. We look forward to more fun episodes in the near future.

Hiya, folks, Prescott here. The Buffalo Bills continue their postseason roadshow this Saturday with an AFC Divisional Round showdown against the Denver Broncos. The Bills slayed their playoff road demons last weekend in Jacksonville, can they make it two in a row away from Orchard Park? I'm joined by Robin Griswold to break it all down, from stem to stern. Sure, we like Josh Allen, but how much do we favor Buffalo's golden boy against Bo Nix and the Broncos highly-regarded defense? TUNE IN TO FIND OUT.

Ryan is still on newborn duty, and because I haven't received any messages that say otherwise, I'm going to assume it's all going swimmingly. Ryan is the best of us, and he is going to be an incredible father. He'll be back on the show when he's ready. Could be next week, could be never. WHO CAN SAY?

It's fun to be writing this little spiel while we await kickoff on Saturday. Somebody will surely add to their legacy this weekend. I sure do hope it's someone from Buffalo and our team comes out on top. RIGHT!?

Hello again!

The Buffalo Bills are moving on in the NFL playoffs and so, too, is time. We simply cannot escape it.

Full disclosure: this is Ryan uploading the episode and, since I wasn't on it and simply had no time to listen beforehand, I have no idea what's on it. Do Prescott and Robin Griswold talk about the Buffalo Bills and a huge playoff road win, the first since 1992? Probably!

Beyond that, who knows. Hard to say! I'm pretty sleepy, not gonna lie. I'll listen along with you folks, eager to hear what they have to say. But things are going well here, more or less. And I hope you can say the same with the near certainty that I currently can.

Prescott will be back with The Sports Recorders later in the week, and we'll see how it goes over here and maybe I'll join, too.
