This week, Brian Barr continued our sermon series on Mark, exploring three of Jesus’ parables that reveal the process of spiritual growth. The central message of these parables is that growth only happens when we apply the revelation we receive. How we respond to God’s revelation—whether it comes through His Word, preaching, promptings of the Holy Spirit, or other believers—makes all the difference. When we act on the revelation given to us, God adds even more. But if we neglect it, Jesus warns that “even what you have will be taken away.” Each day, we have the opportunity to say “yes” to Jesus and trust that He will bring growth.
