Jesus told a raging storm to be still and it did. Jesus cast numerous ("a legion") of demons out of a possessed man and the man was then completely well. Jesus heals a woman with a bleeding illness for 12 years and He raised a girl from the dead. The people of Jesus's home town were arrogantly offended that He was doing miracles. Jesus gave the 12 apostles the power to heal the sick, cast out demons and preach the gospel, and He then sent them out to the people of Israel. John the Baptist told King Herod he is wrong for stealing his brother's wife, and King Herod had John the Baptist beheaded for saying this. Jesus did a miracle to multiply just 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish into enough food to feed 5,000 families. Jesus walked on water. Jesus healed many sick. Jesus strongly criticized the Pharisees for being hypocrites.

Jesus forgives and heals a paralyzed man; Jesus calls Levi (Matthew) the tax collector to follow him and Matthew does; the Pharisees do not understand why Jesus eats with tax collectors and sinners; Jesus brings a new covenant; the Pharisees criticize Jesus and his disciples for eating (working) on the Sabbath; Jesus heals a man with a crippled hand on the Sabbath- the Pharisees began to plot to kill Jesus for this; Jesus healed multitudes and cast out many demons; Jesus appoints the 12 apostles; the Pharisees say Jesus is using the power of demons to cast out demons. Jesus responds that calling the Holy Spirit demonic is blaspheming Him and this will not be forgiven; Jesus gives multiple parables

The body of Jesus was buried in a tomb. Pilate placed a Roman guard at Jesus's tomb to prevent his disciples from stealing his body. On the 3rd day an Angel appeared to the women visiting Jesus's tomb telling them Jesus rose from the dead as he said he would. Jesus's tomb was empty. As the women were running to thell the disciples the news, the risen Jesus appeared to the women. The tomb guards reported to the Pharisees about the appearance of the angel and Jesus was gone. The Pharisees paid off the tomb guards to say the apostles stole Jesus's body while the guards fell asleep. The risen Jesus gave the disciples the Great Commission. End of the Book of Matthew. Start of the Book of Mark: John the Baptist prepared the way for the arrival of Jesus. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. Jesus teaches the people about himself and calls his first disciples. THE CRUCIFIXION EVENTS of JESUS: Judas betrayed Jesus. Jesus was arrested by the chief priests. He was brought before the religious leaders and they could not find him guilty of anything. Caiaphas the chief priest asked Jesus if he was the Messiah, the Son of God. Jesus said yes, he was. They sentenced Jesus to death for blasphemy for saying that and they began to beat him and spit on him. Peter disowned Jesus 3 times as Jesus said he would. Judas hangs himself over guilt of betraying Jesus. Jesus is questioned by Pilate and Pilate did not find him guilty of anything. The crowd demands Barbbas get released in place of Jesus and Jesus be crucified. Pilate hands innocent Jesus over to be crucified to appease the angry crowd. Jesus is flogged and the governor's soldiers abuse him greatly. Jesus is crucified between two rebels. The crowd taunts Jesus to come off the cross if he is really the Son of God. Jesus dies on the cross to pay for the sins of the world. At that moment there was an earthquake, the curtain in the temple was torn in two, and holy people came back to life, came out of their tombs and walked around Jerusalem.

Jesus states that nobody knows the day and hour that he will return, not even Him- only God the Father knows. Therefore, we must always be ready for his return. Jesus gives the Parable of the Ten Virgins, Parable of the Ten Bags of Gold (or Ten Gold Coins). Jesus states we will be judged based on how we treated others in our lives. Judas agrees to betray Jesus. The Last Supper. Jesus tells Peter he will disown Him three times that very night

Jesus tells his disciples that in the future the Jewish temple will be completely destroyed. He then tells them the signs of His future second coming and the end of the age. He informs them of the future Great Tribulation and the arrival of the antichrist prior to His second coming

Jesus gives The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard; Jesus tells the apostles the third time that he I'll be killed by the priests and teachers of the law and rise from the dead on the third day; the apostles and John ask Jesus if they can sit at his right and left hand in heaven; Jesus enters Jerusalem for the Passover festival as the King of Israel in prophesy; Jesus chases people buying and selling things out of the temple; Jesus curses a fig tree that isn't producing fruit; Jesus gives the Parable of the Two Sons and The Parable of the Tenants and the Parable of the Wedding Banquet; Jesus answers Pharisees trying to trick Him; Jesus harshly and publically criticizes the Pharisees and teachers of the law because they were hypocrites.

Jesus is upset at his disciples because they did not have faith that they could cast out demons as Jesus told them they could. Jesus tells his disciples a second time that he will be killed and rise from the dead on the third day. Jesus talks about the seriousness of sin and that we must avoid sinning at all costs. Jesus gives the Parable of the Unmerciful servant. Jesus talks about divorce. He talks about how it is impossible for man onhis own to enter heaven, but with God all things are possible. Jesus gives the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard.

Jesus criticizes the Pharisees and teachers of the law for following human traditions that breaks the commands of God. Jesus heals a demon-possessed foreign girl due to her mother's unwavering faith in Jesus. Jesus heals many sick people and does a miracle to feed several thousand people with 7 loaves of bread and a few fish. Jesus warns the people to beware the teachings of the Pharisees and Saducees. Peter publically declares that he believes Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus transfigures and talks to Moses and Elijah in front of Peter, James and John

Jesus gives multiple parables in this episode: Parable of the Weeds, Parable of the Mustard Seed, Parable of the Yeast, Parable of the Hiden Treasure, Parable of the Hiden Pearl, and the Parable of the Net. John the Baptist is beheaded by King Herod. Even though Jesus was grieving over this, he stopped to heal the sick in a large crowd. Jesus does a miracle to feed several thousand people with just five loaves of bread and two fish. Jesus walked onwater and gave Peter the ability to walk on water as long as Peter had faith in Jesus.
