    A study showed that heredity accounted for 50% of our level of happiness. The other 50% was determined by a variety of factors: control over things affecting our lives, faith in God, optimism or pessimism, age, helping others, level of activity in using our skills, and relationships.

     

    The study also showed that we can teach ourselves to be happy. Act like the person you want to be, and eventually you'll genuinely become that person.

     

    God shows that He, as well as people, can bestow happiness on others, and says the person who rejects wisdom and discipline, afflicts his father and chases away his mother is unhappy, but happy is the person whose God is the Lord.
