In this week’s show we continue with part 2 of our deep dive into the gnostic Gospels of Thomas from the apocryphal Nag Hammadi Library which advertise themselves as the collected sayings of the one and only Jesus Christ. In this portion of our discussion we get into some of the darker, even chilling admonitions by the Son of Man about the horrifying truths of living in an evil simulation run by ignorant tyrants. We compare and contrast the words and imagery of Christ’s teachings alongside the canonical bible and other religious philosophies like the Tibetan Book of the Dead, Egyptian mythology and even Aleister Crowley’s Thelemic Book of the Law to unveil some truly surprising and remarkable overlaps.
