  • GOD, I’M CURIOUS— DAY FOUR

DAY FOUR — GOD, I’M CURIOUS
Spiritual Fear of Missing Out and Learning Whose Voice to Follow

What happens when unanswered questions become an endlesssearch for answers?

Sometimes we aren’t scrolling because we’re bored. We’researching because something hurts. We want to understand what happened, whyrelationships changed, why pieces of our lives fell apart—or even who we arewhen other people’s stories about us no longer resemble the truth.

In Day Four of Learning to Pray, Pamela Pastorexplores Spiritual Fear of Missing Out and the vulnerability that canarise when God seems quiet but everyone else seems to have an answer.

This deeply personal conversation examines social media, spiritual discernment, unreliable voices, unresolved pain, identity, and thetemptation to fill the unknown with explanations that may feel convincing butcannot be established as truth.

Certainty is not the same thing as truth.

And sometimes faith requires the courage to say:

Something happened. It hurt. I don’t understand all ofit. And I will not manufacture the missing pieces simply because uncertainty ispainful.

Pam also shares a powerful realization from her own journey:

I will not participate in my own erasure.

Pain may become part of our story, but it does not get tofinish it.

Through Psalm 119, James 3, Luke 15, Matthew 11, John 10,and 1 John 4, we discover a better response to endless searching: return.

    Return to the Father.
    Return to Scripture.
    Return to prayer.
    Return to Jesus.

Because the feed can carry water—

    but it isn’t the Well.

And peace isn’t waiting at the bottom of the feed.

    There is no bottom.

    Come back to the Well.

    Come back to Jesus.

What I draw from determines what I have to pour out.

  • Learning to Pray - Day Three

What happens when you’ve prayed, asked, sought, knocked—and you’re still waiting?

In Day Three of Learning to Pray: A Journey into the Wisdom of Prayer, Pamela Pastor explores prayer as perseverance: learning to remain in relationship with God even when the answer hasn’t arrived.

Persistent prayer isn’t about wearing God down or demanding the outcome we want. It is faithful returning—continuing to ask while still surrendering the conclusion to Him.

Together, we’ll explore what Scripture teaches about waiting without losing heart, praying during the quiet watches of the night, resting in God’s protection without fear, and surrendering the things we simply cannot fix before we go to sleep.

    Sometimes perseverance means asking again.

    Sometimes it means waiting again.

And sometimes the most faithful thing you can do is say:

“Father, You are awake. I don’t have to be.”

    Then rest.

We’ll also begin asking an important question that leads into tomorrow’s conversation: When God seems quiet, who are we listening to while we wait?

Grab your Bible, grab your journal, and join me as we continue Drawing from the Deep Well — Daily Draw.

    The well is deep.
    The water is living.
And there is always more to draw.

  • Learning to Pray -- Day Two

What do we pray when we don't know what to say?

In Day Two of Learning to Pray, we look at the pattern Jesus gave His disciples and discover how the Lord's Prayer can “prime the pump,” helping conversation with God begin to flow.

We'll explore the difference between repetition and relationship, what it means to pray “Your will be done,” and how Scripture shapes our requests without turning God's Word into a formula for getting the outcome we want.

We'll also talk about intercession, praying for our children, standing beside someone who is grieving when words fail, and those quiet watches of the night when distractions fade and our attention turns toward God.

Prayer doesn't require perfect words—and it doesn't require us to solve everything before we say amen.

    Prayer is participation without presumption.

We can ask boldly. We can pray specifically. We can bring God our genuine desires. And then we can trust His wisdom enough to say:

“Nevertheless, not my will, but Yours, be done.”

Grab your Bible, grab your journal, and let's draw deeply from the Well together.

    In His grace and peace,

    Pamela

  • Learning to Pray — Day One: Prayer as Relationship

Learning to Pray — Day One: Prayer as Relationship

What does it actually mean to learn to pray?

For some believers, prayer comes naturally. For others, thefear of saying the wrong thing—or not praying “well enough”—can make prayerfeel intimidating. But Jesus never reserved prayer for experts. He taught Hisdisciples to pray.

In Day One of this three-day Drawing from the Deep Well —Daily Draw journey, Pamela Pastor explores prayer where Jesus begins: relationshipwith the Father.

Through Scripture, personal stories, and some unexpectedillustrations, we’ll discover why prayer isn’t about perfect words, polishedperformance, or mastering a formula. It is an ongoing conversation with the Godwho already knows what we need—and still invites us to ask, seek, knock, listen, trust, and remain with Him.

We’ll also explore what happens when our prayers wander, whya dedicated prayer space can be meaningful without becoming necessary foraccess to God, and how Scripture keeps our conversations anchored in truth.

Whether you’ve prayed for fifty years or you’re justbeginning, the invitation is the same:

Come to Jesus. Talk to Him. And keep talking.

The Father was never waiting for perfect wrapping.

    The well is deep.
    The water is living.
And there is always more to draw.

  • SUCCESS ACCORDING TO HEAVEN

    Welcome!

Who taught you what success is supposed to look like?

    Money? Titles? Recognition? Possessions? Influence?Achievement?

In Day Four of Drawing from the Deep Well — Daily Draw,Pamela Pastor examines the difference between worldly measurements ofsuccess and faithful stewardship before God.

Scripture doesn't condemn achievement, wealth, skill, excellence, or enjoying God's blessings. But it repeatedly warns us not toforget the Giver while enjoying His gifts.

    Today we're asking:

Am I faithful with what God has already placed in myhands?

    Am I developing my gifts?

Can I celebrate someone else's success?

    Has blessing become an idol?

    Am I pursuing recognition—or faithfulness?

And if everything I've accumulated were removed from theequation, would the life I'm building still look successful before God?

Draw deeply with us from Deuteronomy 8:18, Colossians3:23–24, Luke 16:10, and Matthew 6:19–21, 33 as we discover that Kingdomsuccess isn't merely about what we accumulate.

It's about who we're becoming, what we're stewarding, andWho we're living for.

And if you've spent your entire life building everythingexcept a relationship with Jesus Christ, stay through the end.

There is an invitation waiting for you at the Well.

  • YOUR WORDS ARE TELLING ON YOUR HEART

YOUR WORDS ARE TELLING ON YOUR HEART

What if one of the clearest indicators of what's happeninginside your heart is something you hear every day?

    Your own words.

In Day Three of Drawing from the Deep Well — Daily Draw,Pamela Pastor examines the biblical connection between the heart and thetongue.

James compares the tongue to a tiny fire capable ofproducing enormous consequences. Jesus tells us that the mouth speaks from theabundance of the heart. And Proverbs reminds us to guard the source from whichthe issues of life flow.

    Today we're asking some uncomfortable—butnecessary—questions.

Are we speaking truth with grace?

Are we assuming motives we cannot actually know?

Are we repeating information that wasn't ours to share?

Can we apologize without defending ourselves?

And are we allowing other people's words to become labelsGod never gave us?

Godly wisdom isn't merely about controlling what comes outof our mouths.

It invites God to transform the heart from which thosewords originate.

Draw deeply with us today from Proverbs 4:23, Luke 6:45,James 3:5–10, Proverbs 18:21, and Colossians 4:6.

And if you don't yet know Jesus Christ, stay through theend.

  • WISDOM HAS RELATIONAL FRUIT

If we're becoming wise according to God's Word, where should that wisdom become visible?

    In our relationships.

In Day Two of Drawing from the Deep Well — Daily Draw,Pamela Pastor explores James 3:17–18 and the unmistakable fruit of wisdom fromabove: purity, peace, gentleness, mercy, sincerity, and good fruit.

What happens when we're offended? Can we forgive whilemaintaining wise boundaries? Are we carrying someone else's story, label, fear,or limitation as though it belongs to us? And does the way we treat peoplereflect what we say we believe about God?

Biblical love doesn't mean identical access to everyrelationship, and forgiveness doesn't require abandoning discernment. But God'swisdom should increasingly change the way we communicate, respond, forgive, love, and live.

Today's Daily Draw asks a deeply personal question:

Does the way I treat people make it easier or harder forthem to see Jesus in me?

Draw deeply with us from James 3:17–18, Proverbs 4:23,and John 13:34–35.

And if you don't yet know Jesus Christ, stay through theend.

There is an invitation waiting for you at the Well.

  • WHEN WORDS CARRY WISDOM

    Welcome!

Communication is woven into the human story—but from theGarden of Eden forward, Scripture shows us that words can carry truth ordeception, wisdom or foolishness, encouragement or destruction.

In today's Drawing from the Deep Well — Daily Draw,Pamela Pastor explores the difference between knowledge and godly wisdom, why Proverbs teaches that “the fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,”and why one of the clearest places to examine whether wisdom is taking root maybe in our own communication.

Whose voice is shaping the way you think?

What are your words revealing about your heart?

And are you merely accumulating biblical knowledge—orallowing God's Word to change the way you live?

Draw deeply with us today from Proverbs 1:7 as webegin moving from knowing God's wisdom to actually living it.

And if you don't yet know Jesus Christ, stay through theend.

There is an invitation waiting for you at the Well.

  • Plant. Water. Release. | 1 Corinthians 3:6–7

    Plant. Water. Release. | 1 Corinthians 3:6–7

What if the thing exhausting you isn't the assignment Godgave you—but the outcome you were never meant to carry?

Paul wrote, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave theincrease.”

In today's Daily Draw, we explore what it means tofaithfully steward what God places in our hands while releasing the resultsback into His.

Sometimes the outcome we're trying to control isn't success.

    Sometimes it's acknowledgment.

    Understanding.

    Vindication.

    Another person's response.

Or simply the desire to know that what we've plantedmattered.

Through personal experiences involving Scripture card decks,a treasured Bible passed into someone else's hands, and the unexpected waysencouragement sometimes arrives, we discover that biblical surrender isn'tindifference.

    Release is not surrendering truth.

It is surrendering control of the response.

    We can still care deeply.

    We can still pray consistently.

We can still show up faithfully.

    We can still love generously.

We can establish appropriate boundaries and take appropriateaction.

But we can stop carrying a responsibility God never gave us.

And perhaps the most surprising lesson is this:

Sometimes the first soil God intended to cultivate wasour own heart.

If others have been planting and watering seeds of faith inyour life, today's Daily Draw also includes an invitation to personally respondto Jesus Christ and receive His free gift of salvation.

    Plant what God gives you.

Water what He entrusts to you.

    Release what belongs to Him.

You were never responsible for the increase.

    God is.

One day. One truth. One step closer to Jesus.

  • From Greeting Card to Prayer Card

From Greeting Card to Prayer Card

What if the greeting cards sitting in a drawer could becomesomething more?

In Day Eighteen of Drawing from the Deep Well, Pamelashares a wonderfully simple practice introduced to her by her sister-in-law: don'tthrow the cards away just yet—pray through them.

A birthday card, Christmas card, thank-you note, or simple“thinking of you” can become a prompt to bring another person's name beforeGod.

You don't have to know everything happening in their life. You don't need an elaborate prayer system. And they don't even need to know youprayed.

Just you, their card, and God.

Drawing from Matthew 6:6, James 5:16, and Romans 8:26,today's devotional explores the beauty of secret intercession and the HolySpirit's help when we don't know exactly what to pray.

    Today's challenge couldn't be simpler:

Find one card. Read one name. Pray one prayer.

    They gave you a card.

    You give them a prayer.

Because the card may eventually be discarded—

    but the prayer never was.
