The writer of Hebrews didn’t want these believers to quit. So he encouraged them to run the race that God set before them with endurance while focusing on Jesus. We must lay aside every weight and sin and focus our lives on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Run the race, don't quit!

The central passage of First Peter deals with submission. Submitting to God is recognizing and responding to His authority in our lives. God has called for every believer to submit to the government authorities that He has established in their land.

The church is a people who have been redeemed by Jesus and are being built by Jesus to bring glory to God while proclaiming the excellencies of God's grace throughout the world.

When we place our hope fully on Jesus and when we conduct our lives in holiness because God is holy, we will be distinctly different than the world.

As we begin this new series on First Peter, we are going to learn that we, as followers of Jesus, do not belong here on this earth and the hope we have waiting for us leads us to live for Christ while we are temporarily here. We are exiles.

We are called to make disciples who make disciples, but too often, we think the cost is too much. The cost of not making disciples is far greater than not making disciples.

Family Discipleship is taking every opportunity to teach your kids, grandkids, or anyone in your family to love the Lord their God with all their heart, all their soul, and with all their strength.

John 3:30 serves a purpose statement for every believer: Jesus must increase, but I must decrease.

Because of Jesus, we no longer face the guilty verdict of our sin. We are no longer condemned to death, but we are free to live; all because of Christ.

The Easter story is the story of God's love, his generosity, and his desire to save the world. We live because Jesus rose again.
