  • "I've learned of God's grace. What now?"

Halloween is coming up, and I'm not sure what to do. What are your thoughts on celebrating with kids? What can I do now that I understand God's grace so much better, yet people at church don't agree with me? Are Christians obligated to financially support Israel? Does Matthew 24 mean some Christians will not go to Heaven if they are not able to endure enough?

  • "Will we answer for every idle word?"

Is the Law written on our hearts? What role does the Law play in raising our children today? For whom should I vote for mayor of Detroit? One candidate is a pastor! Should the sexually immoral be invited to leadership in church? Are Christians grafted into Israel? Will believers have to answer for every idle word? What about divorce and remarriage?

What's That Smell? (Grace Giving and Grace Living!)

You've probably been in a room when someone says, "What's that smell?" (Usually not a compliment!) But if you're in Christ, your fragrance is heavenly—you smell like Jesus to God. So why roll around in the world's dumpster when you've got access to the finest fragrance?

In this message, we dive into grace giving and grace living. From relationships to generosity, Paul reminds us: Grace living doesn't reek of guilt or obligation. And we give because it's joyful, fun, and a chance to see others flourish.

What does it look like to be separate but not isolated from unbelievers? To feel remorse without condemnation? To live in freedom while blessing others? It's all part of walking by the Spirit—and exuding the fragrance of Christ Himself.

Watch the full message now and see how it all comes together!

    Discussion Questions for 2 Corinthians:
    1. Read 2 Corinthians 6:14-16. What does it look like to "be separate" without being isolated or legalistic? How are you "different" in this world?
    2. Read 2 Corinthians 7:8-10. What is the difference between worldly sorrow and godly sorrow? Explain in your own words.
    3. Read 2 Corinthians 8:12-15. What do we learn about how the early church was invited to share with each other to meet needs?
    4. Read 2 Corinthians 9:5. Why did Paul send someone to go ahead of him? What does that show us about Paul's heart?
    5. Read 2 Corinthians 9:6. React to this statement: If we invest in the gospel, we're going to see a harvest: transformed lives!
    6. Read 2 Corinthians 9:7. What four expressions here show exactly what a healthy motivation for giving looks like? How is this different from the "give until it hurts" mentality?
    7. What meant the most to you from Andrew's message today? Why?

  • Try to understand Satan? Or simply focus on Jesus?

Should we focus on the enemy? If not, what's the best way to approach spiritual warfare? I'm trying to understand Philippians 2 about God working within us. Does it really mean we try to become blameless and pure? (If so, I'm toast!) As believers, can we have our bodies cremated instead of buried? Or do we have to pay for a burial site and a casket?

  • "My boyfriend is demanding sex!"

Why does Paul say not to associate with certain people who call themselves believers but engage in immorality? My boyfriend is demanding we have premarital sex when the wedding isn't far off. Is this a red flag? What are your thoughts on the rapture and when it will happen?

  • "My business is failing. Is it Christian Karma?"

My business is struggling, and my friend tells me it's because of unconfessed sins in my life! Is he right? My pastor told me that, when we sin, some of the Holy Spirit leaves us. Is that true? When we die, does the Holy Spirit go with us? Does the Bible talk about tithing? Do we have to tithe ten percent today? If not, what should we do?

  • Tongues? James vs. Paul? Women in church?

What about people in remote locations who have never heard the gospel? And what about all those Gentiles in the Old Testament? How can believers who have died already have a resurrection body in Heaven? Or are they bodiless in Heaven or sleeping for thousands of years? What are your thoughts on James? Does he teach the Old Testament law as the means to salvation? What is the gift of tongues? Are there two kinds of tongues? What about women leading in church? Aren't they told to always be quiet?

    What Died When You Did?

Most Christians will tell you, "Jesus died for me." That's true, but it's only part of the story. The other part? You died with Jesus!

Yeah, I know. It sounds wild. But so does walking on water, parting the Red Sea, or surviving a night with lions. Believing you died with Jesus is just as supernatural—and just as essential.

You're not trying to kill off an "old self" every morning. That person's already gone. Buried. Done. You're not two people fighting for control. You're one: New, righteous, holy, alive, and joined to Jesus like two riders on a tandem bike, doing life together.

So stop waiting for God to make you new someday. He already did. The question now is, will you believe it?

Watch this message from our "Fragrant Faith" series and discover what really died when you did… and what beautiful life and new purpose you have now.

Discussion Questions for 2 Corinthians 5-6:
    1. Read verse 15. What does it practically mean to no longer live for ourselves? How might this reshape our goals and motivations?
    2. Read verse 16. How does seeing others "not according to the flesh" change how we treat other people, even those who frustrate or anger us?
    3. Read verse 17. What does it mean to be a new creation? What old things have passed away, and what new things has God brought you? When?
    4. Read verses 18–20. Why is it important to read these verses as a cluster (including verse 20) to avoid the idea of universal salvation? Note verse 20. What role does our response play in reconciliation with God?
    5. Read verse 21. What does it mean to become "the righteousness of God in Him"? How does this go beyond being merely forgiven?
    6. Read verses 6:14–16. How should our identity as righteousness and light shape the (marriage) partnerships and priorities we form in the world?
    7. Read verses 6:17–18. What does it mean to come out and be separate without becoming self-righteous or isolated? How does knowing you're God's child shape your confidence and compassion?
