Welcome back, dear friends, to the space where vulnerability intersects with divine wisdom—The Grace Raised Podcast. I've been on a journey, a bit of a hiatus, where the stillness spoke volumes and the lessons learned were many. In a candid confession, I peel back the curtain to reveal the deep internal work God has been doing in my heart, touching on the surprising ways our strengths can sometimes hinder His work. It's an honest look at the paradox of problem-solving, efficiency, and their role in our spiritual lives.
This episode is an open letter of sorts, where I address the spiritual battles of pride and self-righteousness head-on. It's a raw and real exploration of the grace that underpins our every action. Your thoughts and interactions have been the cornerstone of my own development, and it's with a heart full of thanks that I look forward to our continued discourse. Enclosed in these words is a prayer for grace to blossom in your life, just as it has in mine. Let's carry this conversation forward, beyond the echoes of this podcast, and may grace indeed lead your race.

Did you grow up believing that you had to fit in the picture of righteousness; holding it all together, mascaraing around with all the piousness- a well-bred Christian? Did you feel like you had to hold it together and present a picture of perfection? Were you afraid of messing up, forgetting things, making mistakes?
Me too.
I spent my life serving fear; my righteousness being tied to perfection and a blameless presentation.
Grace has made me a different person; but instead of being even more presentable as a blameless individual, my messes are forward facing and unashamed. I am more of a presentable mess today than I was when I lead a life as servant of pride and fear. Yet I have more joy and conviction is a friend that draws me into the arms of Grace; held, loved, so patient and persevering.
Join my conversation about sitting in the mess!

What is possibly more blasphemes in our culture then to claim our hearts and feelings are not the ultimate authority for our lives? Follow your heart? Whatever you feel is real or true? Is this mindset and theology a representation of our faith or is there something we are missing? Is there possibly more joy and security in submitting our feelings to the authority of God? Join me this week for our conversation!

Pray for patience and God will give you opportunities to be patient. Pray for courage and expect opportunities to be courageous. Pray for humility and expect....what? Humiliation? Maybe not? Perhaps humility is born from undeserved Grace and an outpouring of love?

Did you know that the organized life does not always equate to a functional multi-tasker? I always thought they were one in the same....until recently. Sometimes the box people need to learn how to multitask and live in a loft...maybe not a mansion with many rooms. Faith often requires a little more multi-tasking and a little less organization. Not great news for box people. What are you?

Identity... it's a big topic. In a world where our identity or how we choose to identify is at the focal point of conversation it is especially important to understand our spiritual identity as believers for the sake of our children and our relationships. There are deep roots in our identities- it touches every area of our lives, how we respond to things, how we heal, how we grow. It is shaped by our situations, circumstance, relationships and upbringings. But it is good? Is it inherently healthy to have self-identities? Or is the protection and seeking of self-identity creating slaves to self, drawing us out of freedom into a world of fragile egos and ideologies?

God's faithfulness provides and overflow in and out of us even in the hardest and darkest of times. Joy and peace from the spirit of God is often the evidence of our abiding in God's grace and His presence. It often has the opportunity to raise questions and defy logical responses to our situations. We find ourselves walking in the illogical grace which spills out around us into the everyday relationships and situations.
