This week we're doing some revision work on our 2.8" resistive TFT screen shield (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1651) to modernize it and also replace some unavailable components. Once neat thing about this shield is that since the display is almost exactly the same size as an Arduino, it uses all SMT headers to plug into the mainboard.

SMT headers are useful to avoid a selective or wave-soldering step, or in this case, to avoid contact with a metal plate backing.
