The Galaxy is in shambles. The Krath Holy Crusade has swept across the stars bringing war and devastation across the Republic. Satal Keto is dead, slain by the fallen Jedi Ulic Qel Droma, and anointed the new leader of the Krath by his lover and dark side enchantress Aleema Keto. Failing to save their former friend, paramour and compatriot, the Jedi Nomi Sunrider is forced to flee with Cay Qel Droma and Tot Doneeta, back to republic space.
