The Grim Curriculum

We have for you today a quick update on Contender for worst mother of the year, Ruby Franke. Then we have a couple of pretty sad stories but worry not we pull it back around with some cannabis loving sheep and a pretty gnarly unusual death segment.

Well the day we've been talking about for months finally arrived. Our very first live show. We tell the tale of American Mafia Legend, Bugsy Siegel and have an array of Extra Credit topics including crop circles, a very creepy cryptid, a lesson in slang words and a very unusual, historical death case.

Apologies for the audio quality. We will do better next time!

Big thanks to Felice Café for having us!

Today we bring you a welcome update to the Luis Garavito case that we covered long ago on The Grim Curriculum. Dina brings us the sad and devastating story of the 1982 Alpine Meadows avalanche that happened 40 years ago in California. An Australian woman has been charged with murder and attempted murder after a meal she served was laced with deadly mushrooms. And our strange and unusual death this week is as unexpected as it is odd.

Today we are picking up right where we left off with Roch Theriault. His escalating violent behavior has only just gotten started.

This is a story of manipulation, murder, and a whole lot of marriages.

Today, we are starting our series on Roch Theriault and the Ant Hill Kids.

Roch was a self proclaimed surgeon, father of many, torturer, murderer, and cult leader.

This French Canadian who claimed he was raised by a bear is responsible for the deaths of multiple people including an infant.

This is by far one of the most disturbing cults in modern history. There’s not a whole lot of terrible things out there that this guy didn’t do.

We've got volcano and earthquake news from some of Earth's usual suspects and more. A robot from South Korea made a deadly mistake and would you "Hold your wee for a Wii?" Even if it meant risking your life?

If this story is new to you, you probably have a lot of questions already. One being: who the hell was Elmer McCurdy.

The next question will undoubtedly be: How does one end up with their body on display at a funhouse 6 decades later without anyone knowing?

Today, we’re going to answer both of those questions and more. This story is going to take us down some wild twists and turns and it starts in one of our favourite places ever, The Wild West.
