In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Blogger & Young Entrepreneur Gillian Robinson as we dive into her journey of starting a business, facing negativity and how she has been able to overcome that to be on the path to living her best life no matter what other think.
Some takeaways from this episode:
Young people are following trends rather than listening to themselves, and who they are just to fit in with others. You become the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with so be careful about who you are spending your time with.
People can be so nasty and negative, complaining about everything, putting others down, and gossiping all the time rather than taking control and focusing on their own life. Taking control of your own life is the best and easiest way to enjoy life!
Your friends, family, loved ones, and/or people, in general, will always have opinions on what you're doing and how you are living your life. The key thing to remember is that its none of your business - just as what they're doing is none of yours. This doesn't mean you can't give advice from time to time, just be mindful over the advice you're getting and/or giving.
Too many people don't actually listen to their loved ones, friends, or the people around them as their sub-conscious bias sets in and are in such a rush to just share what they want to share rather than having meaningful conversations. It's having a negative effect on how as a society we are building relationships with others.
Plus, much much more!
