Life is full of surprises, twists, and turns. You never know what’s around the corner, and it can be confusing.
We have the honor of interviewing our first guest, Camille Requiestas. Camille is a TV new anchor, turned meditation and life coach! She has a vast journalism experience as a Texas news anchor and reporting on CNN Philippines. Now she is taking control of her own life with her own businesses, packing up and moving across the world, and taking on new roles.
Her unique journey is anything but linear, just like much of our own journeys. In the craziness of life, it can be hard to center yourself and even remember what your goals are. She offers ways to find your why through her business in meditation, yoga, and life coaching.
Find out more about Camille and what she has to offer in this episode and in her links below!

Let’s talk about therapy. Historically, there has always been a stigma around “therapy” and mental “illness”. But times are changing, and the spotlight on mental “health” is finally shining.
We all face challenges in our lives, and some of us are affected more than others, mentally. Whether that be the way we’re wired, the way we’re raised, our life circumstances, or actual medical conditions predisposing us to mental health problems.
You are not alone. You, me, and a million different people out there are facing mental health struggles. It’s important to get the help you need.
Listen as we talk about mental health, our experiences, and the importance of seeking therapy and other forms of help.

We’re supposed to prioritize the important things in our lives. But what if EVERYTHING seems important? How do we place what’s important at the top? It’s easy to get lost in the craziness of life and adulthood. But sometimes all you need is to take a step back.
We show you a couple tools that you can use to identify what’s important, urgent, and neither of the two and how to tackle these things every day. What’s important to you? How are you going to make those things that are important a priority in your life?

Single.. Married.. Filing Jointly.. 401(k)? Roth IRA? What are all these terms?! Have you ever wished that there was just a glossary of financial key terms for everything you come across in life? We don’t learn this stuff in school.
Here is our list of Financial Key Terms that you wish you knew when you needed it. By now, we probably know a little bit more, but there’s always more to learn. And that’s the beauty (and the growing pains) of life.
There’s a million and one key terms out there, so let’s start with the finance “stuff” you come across when you are starting a new job. W4, 401(k), pension. Thanks for listening in, and enjoy!

Friends? In Adulthood? How do I do that?
Making friends isn't as easy in adulthood as it was on the playground. There's no playing at recess or trying to enroll in all the same college classes as your best friends.
It's different for us, and that's okay. We have our best friends in life, our proximity friends, people that add value to our lives, and some that don't. Life is an ebb and flow of relationships, and we are just figuring out the best way to make the most of meaningful connections.
How do you find friends in adulthood? How do you maintain friendships? And which connections do you prioritize and place value on over others?

When is the last time you actually thought about who you are? In the craziness of life, work, and responsibilities, we lose sight of who we are sometimes. The answer to what you should be doing in life or how to handle a situation is sometimes as easy as just reflecting on yourself and how you fit into the world around you.
Personality tests have been used time and time again to help individuals identify themselves and learn their own strengths. Not only can we learn about ourselves, but about each other. Take one of these tests, and see how being more aware of yourself can heavily influence your path and your interactions with others around you.

We are on FIRE! How do you handle money? How do you define how you live your life? What are you living towards or working towards? There’s working to live and living to work. How will you live your life?
What is the FIRE Movement? FIRE: Financial Independence, Retire Early - a concept birthed by Vicki Robin and Joe Dominguez in their book, Your Money or Your Life. The FIRE Movement has gained a lot of traction with millennials in recent years, and James uses this movement as a foundation for his philosophy of personal finance and life. This is the foundation for everything related to personal finance on The Growing Pains Project.
Learn what the FIRE movement is all about. Learn how to evaluate your current financial situation. Learn your relationship with money. Take control of your life, and don’t rely on that corporate job and big pockets. You want to live a financially independent life, travel when you want, spend time with family, and spend time on yourself? THIS is how we get there.
