Are you working to live? Or are you living to simply work? We often get lost in “the grind” of things, of our careers, of our responsibilities. We become distracted by money or the prospects of career advancement and success. We equate work success to life success.
Life is about more than work. How are you going to create a life for yourself where you do the things that you value most about life and work to make those values a reality? We used to dream big when we were kids, and then we got distracted by the hustle and the grind.
“Designing Your Life”, by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans, gives us actionable strategies to evaluate our workview and lifeview and create a more fulfilled life. Check out their book in the link below.
Dream big, and remember why you wanted to do the things you wanted to when you were little. Work to live a happier, more fulfilled life.

Healthcare workers - like ourselves - during the COVID-19 pandemic have faced immense burnout that has led to 47% of them saying they plan to leave their current jobs within the next 2-3 years.
Repeated stressors, demanding work environments, unsupportive companies, and high expectation for ourselves all lead to burnout.
You are in control of your mental, physical, and emotional health in your career and in your life. Learn how to prevent, recognize, and treat burnout. You are not alone.

Why are habits important? To get to where we want to be, it starts with doing the smallest things every day, and doing them consistently. Habits turn into behaviors, and behaviors turn into a part of who you are.
We take a deep dive into Atomic Habits, by James Clear, which emphasizes a lifestyle of habits that foster the type of life you want to live. Take the actionable steps to making positive habits, cutting out negative habits, and making your goals more reachable by making your habits easy and doable.
It all starts with your habits. Each day, we are working to be a little bit better than we were yesterday. Just imagine your future self if you worked on doing one thing better every single day.

We all have to work! That’s a fact of life, which means we all have to find a job at some point. Whether that’s your first job, a career change, a move to a different company or to a different role. With that comes endless applications, rejections, “post-grad depression”, and eventually acceptance.
Navigating the job search can be stressful. We’ve been there, and we will continue to go through it over and over again as we make career moves and pivots. Listen to our journeys and join us in learning how to face the challenges of the job search.

The Mountain of Debt... How do we face a mountain that seems so high? How did we get here in the first place? An investment in yourself and your future sometimes means a big financial investment as well. But how do we navigate through this mountain of debt from student loans?
Making the right decisions for your future can be hard. Listen as we talk about the difference between Federal Student Loans and Private Student Loans and what that means for your future.
Interest rates, refinancing, loan forgiveness programs, and strategies for paying off your loans and taking control of your life. It’s all here in this episode.
Don’t let student loan debt take control of your life. You can tackle this. You are not alone. If you feel overwhelmed, talk to your loan servicer, find ways to refinance, talk to financial professionals or to friends and colleagues going through the same thing.
Together, we are taking on our Mountain of Student Loan Debt. Tell us how you are tackling your debt and how you are going to take control of your life!

How do you define health in your life? Is it through weight? The scale? The mirror? How heavy you can lift or how many miles you can run? There’s fad diets and get-fit-quick programs, but ultimately, how are you going to live a long, sustainably healthy life?
We find ourselves quickly trying to fit into the social norms. When actually, what is most important is our health, our well-being. Do it for you - not for anyone else. We do it so that we can travel the world when we’re still 70. We do it so that we can grow old with our significant others and families. We do it to be better for ourselves.
Why do you do it? What value do you find in health and fitness? What does being healthy mean to you? Whatever it may be, let’s walk (or run) on this path together towards a better, healthier you.

Change. Growth. Growing Pains. Podcast hosts James Chuatoco and Yochabel Loyola dive into the meaning of growing pains, and the different types that we experience throughout life. Post-grad depression, family changes, the end of a relationship, the start of a new job.
Every change comes with growth. And life is full of constant transitions from one state of being to another - one circumstance to another. Change is what makes life – life. We define the different phases of transitions, referencing William Bridges’ book, Transitions: Making Sense of Life’s Changes, and how our reactions and perceptions to transitions help shape who we are as individuals.
Life is about constant transformation - the journey - not just the destination. How are you going to define who you are? How are you going to take control of your growing pains?
