Episode 286 – The Crazy Journey Of Aaron Stokes And His $8,000,000 Auto Repair Business

Aaron runs an auto repair business.

The business does around $8 million per year.

He also coaches other small auto repair businesses and makes a couple more million doing this.

Pain and suffering have humbled Aaron, just like they have you. He fought the good fight, progressed and grew.

Episode 285 – Real Talk – Millions Made And Lost – Addiction And An 8-Figure Business With Tony Grebmeier

Tony Grebmeier launched his first online business in Silicon Valley, a Web traffic, and marketing company, which eventually turned into his first supplement company. In 2001, he went on to build his second supplement company, ShipOffers, with two of his childhood best friends, Doug Roberts and Gil Gerstein. Seventeen years later, ShipOffers is an eight-figure business that has been an INC 5000 Company for the past four years in a row.

The journey to self-fulfillment wasn’t easy for Tony. He almost lost it all in 2008 after years of struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. Facing the near destruction of his marriage and the sad realization that he was negatively affecting his children’s lives, Tony made the decision that year to get sober, and he has been sober ever since. As he got clean, he also became clear about his vision to help others find their passion and achieve more.

Episode 283 – Savage Parents, Business And Youth Sports

Is extreme aggression ever good?

Yes, I believe it is. I’m not here to give lectures on being a good parent, but let’s talk about this a little bit.

Over the weekend, I was at a giant sports tournament “Gus Macker” with over 800 teams this weekend. This is a really interesting business model and event. Where we live is one of the largest locations they hold this event.

Basically, it’s a 3 vs. 3 basketball game for anyone. It’s just an amateur thing that anyone can do.

But, I noticed something while we were here. The way parents react when their kids are playing even just a silly, not serious tournament. Some of these parents got out of control – they can just get weird sometimes.

Back to the original question, in business, sometimes you need to go all out beast mode and dominate. Make it so there’s no wiggle room and be the ONLY choice in your industry.

The biggest takeaway from the course I was apart of is how Peng Joon has systemized to a granular level the entire structure and flow of his events. He is so incredibly specific on everything, from the words to the environment. He’s really really good and specific about things.

As a home service business, you have to look at your service business like this. You aren’t in your “insert industry here” business. You are in the experience business, the people business. This will help you be able to charge premium prices for non-price-sensitive customers which will allow you to build something really exceptional. This will allow you to grow something that you don’t have to be apart of daily, a business that can thrive mostly without you.

Everyone seemed to want more! So that’s what we’re going to talk about today.

This is really really cool stuff. Sometimes it requires a bit of extra work to connect the dots, but if you’re a nerdy learner it’s really interesting stuff. If you haven’t already, listen to the first episode in this series, then come back here!

We left off speaking about messaging, so that’s where we’ll pick it back up. There are 4 quadrants to messaging. You want to talk about your company while balancing it with your struggles and weaknesses pair with your strengths and why you are different and your current beliefs and how they’ve changed.

Asking a question is always a huge stopping point. It triggers the attention of your listeners and makes you want to watch it. This is a small little tidbit of a hack.

We’ll also go over the 4 beliefs on how to serve your customers at such a high level!

One other thing we chat about is true change. True change doesn’t come from just the steps. A checklist of steps doesn’t necessarily help. There’s so much more emotional baggage in your head and there are accountability and implementation issues.  There isn’t an information problem, it’s a behavior problem.

Episode 278: This Guys Goal This Month Is $500,000

Brandon Vaughn is joining me today & we’re going to the sand dunes!

We’re working on some systems and doing some really awesome stuff this weekend.

Brandon’s goal this month is $500,000! They made just over $400,000 last month. Brandon took over his father’s Artisan style business as he got diagnosed with a heart condition and couldn’t do physical labor anymore. From there, Brandon took it over 4 months after leaving his corporate job. It worked out well.

You have to look at certain blind spots with your business. You need to ensure you have security and stability.

The big motivation for me growing it wasn’t about the money. It wasn’t about being rich. It was about having a business that could support my dad. He’s an amazing man. He always took care of our family, window cleaning has always taken care of our family.

Russell Brunson is an introvert as well. And so am I.

Peng made no money when he was young. His parents worked really hard, had 2 jobs. He has a very interesting upbringing. He did very well in school and started with nothing. There was a lot of pain and suffering along the way.

The highest achievers have a serious amount of struggle, pain, and grit in their past before they got to their success.

Do everything in your power to overdeliver. Explain your process up front and tell them what’s in it for them.
