The Halving Report

There is a high degree of panic and fear in Bitcoin, crypto, and markets everywhere.  Banks are raising interest rates, and increasing the cost of borrowing money. Geopolitical tension is high, and the oil supply has risen the cost of gasoline. 

However, there is opportunity for those who love to build and dollar cost average into Bitcoin. Today we interview someone who is taking full advantage of these markets by doing just that. Eric Podwojski works as an Account Manager for Bitcoin Magazine - one of the original news and print magazine publishers covering Bitcoin and digital currencies, co-founded by Etheruem’s Vitalik Buterin. While short-term traders may be unimpressed by the price of Bitcoin, long-term HODLers continue to do what they do best - find ways to stack sats! There was a lot of hype around Bitcoin Miami, but alongside was the first ever Monerotopia Conference. Monero is that coin Maxis choose if they had a gun to their head, and were forced to use a cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin. It is mostly known for its' privacy and decentralized CPU mining.

Macro Analyst Nam Sardar is back on the show for the second time after about a year (refer back to E48). What started as a small Mediterranean restaurant, is now expanding to over a dozen locations all over Ontario. Whether you love or hate him, there is no denying the legendary status of John McAfee. McAfee made an imprint on computer antivirus software that will be recorded in the history books. He was seen as a legend by many coders and in the hacker community. In 2017, McAfee famously stated that he would eat his own d**k, if Bitcoin did not reach 1 million dollars by the end of 2020. He may not have pumped Bitcoin to 1M, but almost every other coin he mentioned back in those days skyrocketed in value. 

In his last few years before his passing, McAfee was secretly working on an autobiography with a ghost writer: Mark Eglinton. There are many people in the Bitcoin and crypto space who are scammed upon entry. It seems like people are naturally attracted to cheaper coins, with greater upside opportunity. A very popular altcoin  entitled 'HEX' has built a large community, and has seen very high returns on investment for its early adopters. The creator, Richard Heart, is one of the most controversial figures in crypto. Now, he is launching another project entitled PulseX. The project claims to have almost a billion dollars 'sacrificed' to it.

Phil started his career at Marineland training marine life for years before being forced to blow the whistle on the iconic amusement park for animal abuse.  Phil was most notably on the Joe Rogan podcast 5 times, casting light on his struggle and fighting back against Marineland's $1.5 million SLAPP suit for plotting to steal Smooshi the Walrus.
