This week Lynsey and Anna are really honoured to be interviewing the wonderful Naila from London Cushions

Naila shares with us her journey from sitting with her Grandma in Pakistan watching her create and being inspired by what she could achieve with her hands. To journeying to England and starting a family then realising that she needed to begin her own entrepreneurial business journey.

Naila has been featured in books, publications and on TV where she not only shares her fascinating and inspiring life, but also offers her expert knowledge in starting a handmade business.

London Cushions creates handcrafted cushions, textiles and more. Naila not only creates the cushions from fabric she has lovingly sourced, she also designs and carves the blocks used to stamp the fabric.

Angela takes us through extremely difficult moments in her life from the loss of her mum (who is the inspiration behind Polly All Sorts the name and logo), being told she has a hole in her heart, undergoing open heart surgery and then later on finding out she has Stage 3 Bowel cancer and having to commit to a number of rounds of Chemotherapy. 

We speak openly about how having a Handmade Business has helped her to stay positive no matter what she has been going through, how she has grown and developed her business and crafting knowledge and skills and what her plans are for the future development of her whimsical and enchanting fairy doors and maker mindful kits!

Amie walks us through how a moment of loss, grief and tragedy led to a chance moment in time sprinkled with magic and fate - which began a journey she never anticipated or dreamed she would be doing.

Turning from broadcast journalism to a career as a professional jeweler who now creates stunning gold and silver custom pieces using precious and semi-precious stones, and also creating hundreds of Rainbow Pins and Golden Stamped Nuggets to raise money for charities close to her heart.

This week Lynsey and I interview Sharon Bellamy from How She Felt.

Sharon speaks openly about struggles she has had in business making decisions and being fearful of getting things wrong. But how her supportive network and coaching (with our very own Lynsey) has helped her to focus in on what she does best and how she flourishes most.

She has had an explosive 2020 with a new product line specifically designed to give 'Bear Hugs' to those in hospital or alone during the pandemic and Sharon lets us in on how she has coped with this overnight success!

Throughout the episode Sharon opens up about how difficulties in her personal life, such as becoming a single parent twice, have pushed her forward to create a business and life that she is excited to jump out of bed for. For example going from custom orders, to 'made to order' is a topic that she has a great insight on.

I know that anyone listening is going to be inspired by this amazing women who truly has put 'How She Felt' first and has become a sensation because of it.
