Bienvenue, Bienvenido, Willkommen World Traveling Happy Platers!

Today is one of our favorite shows to talk about each year and that is EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival Global Marketplace Menus! Disney recently released the menus for this festival beginning on July 27th through November 18th.  

This year we embark on a culinary journey across 6 continents as we taste our way around the world. Five new food booths are opening this fall:

·       Char & Chop
·       Wine & Wedge
·       Bubbles & Brine
·       Swirled Showcase
·       Flavors of America

The first 4 are being added to celebrate Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary, but not all of them will open with the festival on July 27th. 

Discover a cornucopia of cultures, cuisines and innovative cooking techniques from chefs worldwide. This food aficionado’s paradise is replete with delicious dishes, fine wine, craft beer, spirits and other beverages sure to satisfy every palate. Check out the menus here!

Pull up a Chair Happy Platers! 

We often talk about restaurants that we have planned on dining at or made a reservation, but it never failed we always canceled.  A couple of weeks ago Danae and Kristi spent a few days in WDW with the challenge of eating at those restaurants.  We think they did pretty well!

Summer Greetings Happy Platers!

On today's show, we talk about a great way to celebrate all things summer with the  Flavors of Florida Presented by CORKCICLE 2023.  Disney Springs will be serving up some mouthwatering and fresh flavors inspired by the Sunshine State. From July 1 through August 13, over 30 locations all throughout Disney Springs will be featuring a variety of dishes and sips you simply must try. You’ll be able to embrace summer and delight in homegrown flavors from Florida, along with first-hand demonstrations from renowned chefs and restaurant owners.

Seasons Greetings Happy Platers?!

Tis the Halfway to the Holidays season, and we LOVE any reason to celebrate all that is merry and bright at The Most Magical Place on Earth. Here’s a first look at what’s holly, jolly, and new this holiday season as well as details about the return of your favorite Disney traditions.

Disney Jollywood Nights – a new, separately ticketed event from 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. on 10 select nights.  Get ready to dress in your holiday glam best or festive flair, dance the night away to merry mashups, indulge in divine treats and bubbling spirits, and snap selfies with iconic characters during this new festive event. 

•   November: 11,18, 20, 27, 29
•   December: 4, 6,16,18, 20

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Holiday magic is unwrapped with the return of festive favorites like the Christmas extravaganza stage show, “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration,” the sparkling spectacular “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” and the merry must-see “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.” 
The party dates are:

•   November: 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 21, 22, 26, 28, 30
•   December: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22

Hey Howdy Hey Happy Platers!

On May 31st,  WDW opened vacation packages for 2023.  And with that, the new dining packages went live…and the Disney site went dead.  We were able to see how much each of the dining plans will cost per night of your stay.  Here is a quick breakdown of the per-night price:

• Disney Quick Service Dining Plan: 
  • Adult = $57 ($2.00 increase from previous 2020)
  • Child = $23.83 ($2.17 decrease from previous 2020)
• Disney Dining Plan:
  • Adult = $94.28 ($16.27 increase from previous 2020)
  • Child = $29.69 ($.82 decrease from previous 2020)

For the main entrée for today’s show, we are going to keep it light with a round of Disney Food Trivia!
