Imagine you start your dream business and days later you experience the most traumatic, confusing health battle and end up in the hospital.
My guest today is Monica Montes: founder of three businesses, community builder, and mother. Monica battled an unknown illness and later learned (from TikTok!) it was mold toxicity.
Monica is now balancing her healing journey while jumping back into running a branding agency, podcast studio, and networking community. She helps women shine on stage, build their businesses, and press record on their dreams.
Listen in as Monica and I chat about the importance of balancing health and business, putting your family first, and trusting your gut.
PLUS we announce our upcoming event, "From Search to Social: Maximizing Organic Business Growth with SEO," taking place on March 28th in Denver!

Four years ago, I was sitting in my doctor's office and was told I needed an emergency biopsy. I was notified a few days later that it was positive for a chronic autoimmune disease.
The pain throughout my body would be manageable, as long as I didn't experience hormonal changes and stress (if only).
In today's episode, I share my very personal experience with this condition, because I was told it was mostly likely caused by STRESS.
My hope is this episode will help other women realize it's time to put your health first. To listen to your body. And to add more peace to your life every day.
I also share:
If you're struggling with stress and/or your health, today's episode is dedicated to you.

Should you be making big business decisions while on your period? Should you go on dates while in your ovulatory phase? And when is the best time to skip meetings during the month?
On today's episode, I'm chatting with Jacqueline — AKA the Menstrual Mogul. As a Cycle Sync Coach, Jacqueline is known for disrupting narratives in the entrepreneurial space when it comes to being a CEO with a cycle.
We chat about the monthly cycle phases, what you should and shouldn't be doing during each of them, and the red flags you might be experiencing during your ovulatory and menstrual phases. And yes, I also ask Jac about when the best time of the month is to date someone new.
If you're a menstruating female founder or business leader, this episode is for you!
About Jacqueline:
Jacqueline is a Cycle Sync coach for female entrepreneurs and not your average women. As a 10 year vet in the online space she realized the secret to building a sustainable business and avoiding burn out is by prioritizing our hormones and making our cycle the main character. Jacqueline prides herself on educating women in a way that never makes them feel like they are in a classroom or doctors office so that the information can trickle down to all generations of females!

Have you ever gone through a transitional time in your life where didn't exactly know who you were as a human anymore? I went through this in 2023 when I started my business and this podcast, and when I had my first official photo shoot as an entrepreneur.
I had so much imposter syndrome and was struggling with my identity and confidence — until I met Crystal Rojas, the incredible photographer behind the lens. She turned on some Beyoncé, made me dance it out to shake off the nerves, and helped me remember who I am — as a woman, entrepreneur, and go-getter.
If you're stepping into your power this year, you won't want to miss this episode. We talk about finding confidence, showing up as your authentic self, and owning what makes you and your business unique.
About Crystal Rojas:
Crystal is a photographer, creative strategist, and the owner and founder of The Creators Collective. Her mission is to serve and love her clients well and create a space for them to show up as their most authentic selves, chaos and all.

I'm jumping back into the dating scene. And rather than getting back on the dating apps, I worked up the courage to go to a singles' mixer — yes, the kind you see in the movies.
This episode is very different than my typical conversations about entrepreneurship, because I recorded the intro before I went to the mixer — and came home five hours later to record the rest of the episode to tell you exactly how the mixer went down.
Teaser: A guy told me he's half my age; I met a super handsome curly-haired guy who wants to play pickle ball; and there are some other fun (and embarrassing) surprises along the way. Come along with me as we navigate dating in my 30s.
