Dr. Parviz Kavoussi discusses testosterone and hormonal health, with a focus on the pitfalls of anabolic steroid use and the issues associated with low testosterone levels. He emphasizes the importance of advocating for one's own health and seeking treatment for low testosterone. The conversation also touches on the impact of environmental factors on testosterone levels and the need for increased awareness and treatment of low testosterone in the veteran community. Low testosterone levels can have a significant impact on men's health, including metabolic disease, mental health, and cardiovascular health. However, only 5-7% of men with low testosterone are being treated. Men need to advocate for their own health and get their testosterone levels checked if they are experiencing symptoms such as low energy, low sex drive, and moodiness. Treatment options include testosterone replacement therapy, such as Natesto.
