If you're in Hattiesburg, you've already seen Keenon Walker pretty much everywhere! He is Hattiesburg royalty and if there's a fun event happening--you know he's there. We got to sit down with him and talk about the two podcasts he's got going. But, the most educational aspect was hearing about Keenon's work with the Spectrum Center: a local non-profit that helps at-risk members of the LGBTQ+ community. Not to mention, we discussed all of this with no air conditioning. It was INTENSE!

He teaches guitar at two Nashville colleges, plays shows regularly, and has even done session work with the great Cory Wong! When your friends own a brewery and decide to completely renovate their Taproom and basically start their own restaurant, you have to talk to them about it... Emily Curry and Benjamin Green of Southern Prohibition came by the studio to talk about the latest iteration of their Taproom. They have cocktails, wine, food crafted by Chef Noffke, a newly renovated hospitality experience managed by Rachel Nicolosi. The place is a vibe and it's open for business. We got to sit down with singer, mother, baseball "WAG" and overall super star, ELSIE. Her self-titled EP is a country-soul ode to the past, present and future of her home state of Mississippi. It's hard enough to break into the country music scene, not to mention while raising two young children. Local singer-songwriter, Tyler Tisdale, took a leap of faith when he recorded his debut solo album, "If It's All the Same to You" in 2019. Creativity found a way and after four studios, hundreds of hours of studio conference calls, and cover a year of waiting--it's time to share all that work with the world!  We covered so much in this episode, but the highlight had to be the unplugged and intimate performance in front of a live studio audience of some of Tyler's closest friends!   Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for his record release on May 13th!
