Between the last episode and this one, the world officially lost a great one in Scott Hall.  His impact on "the biz" will be forever imprinted on the sport of professional wrestling.  

However, when there are endings, there are beginnings.  For one, WWE held another round of tryouts in Las Vegas, signing four indy wrestlers including the anticipated Rok-C and "The Motherlover" Jake Tucker.  Also, NWA is in the midst of the Crockett Cup as of this publication.

MLW is also gearing up for April 1 in Dallas.  What ultimatum did Matchmaker Cesar Duran force upon MLW Champion Alex Hammerstone?

I accidentally hate-watched NXT this week...simply because I hate hate-watching.  However, there were some bright spots, pun intended.  

Not the one that landed Big E in the hospital with a broken freaking neck...

In the immortal words of "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, "Don't do **** you don't know how to do!"

Ring of Honor's legacy will continue, just not in the same capacity as the once-proud, realism-based promotion used to be.  Despite who bought it, I am optimistic about it's future.

Speaking of the future of pro-wrestling, Vince McMahon implied on the Pat McAfee show that he is not going anywhere anytime soon.  It was his first interview in fifteen years, and it was...well..."stupendous".  Like VKM or not, your bias toward him was confirmed, so I'm not going to change your mind about him.

Plus, a fan snuck in a question about Cody.  If you have a question, just ask!

There are a million puns I could have used, but dad jokes would diminish the WWE NXT debut of the practical Rookie of the Year, Nikkita Lyons.  She debuted exactly how a wrestler is supposed to debut in a promotion.  

In other news, Shawn Michaels is a hypocritical bully, Kevin Owens is trolling Texas to draw out a WWE Hall of Famer, and MJF actually has feelings.

Not to be outdone by the Elimination Chamber, the news of Cody Rhodes and his wife, Brandi, announced they are not resigning with AEW.

The problem is this is all a work.

Oh, and Kenny Omega very politely told Uncle Dave that Cody wasn't working out anyway.

Super Sunday ended a pretty cool week in wrestling.  I didn't really watch the Superbowl on account of the booking was all wrong according to my taste.  I got to hit the biggest news in pro-wrestling this week.  There was a "dynastic" betrayal, UFC was really good because I missed it, and AEW booked a long-awaited debut of a wrestler precisely how this wrestler should be booked.

Speaking of AEW, I finally watched the CM Punk vs. MJF match from a few weeks ago: better late than never, and it was worth it.

Mustafa Ali/ Adeel Alam can't get released to save his life.  Shane McMahon comes back one day, wrecks the joint, and gets "quietly released" by the WWE.

At least NWA Powerrr and USA were consistently good again.

I thought I'd be ahead of the game by posting my thoughts on the Royal Rumble on Sunday.  However, technology and my own stupidity got in the way, and I now look like a Johnny-Come-Lately.  No worries, the good news is you get TWO podcasts this week!

I actually enjoyed The Wrld on GCW.  It wasn't perfect, but by no means was it bad.  Plus, I catch you up on MLW and NWA.

Sometimes, it might not sound like it.  Sometimes, things happen in pro-wrestling that make me not love it.  Definitely, the two major promotions are not helping me love it, so I continue to follow MLW and NWA.

Cesar Duran has filled the power vacuum created by the downfall of Contra, and now has his sights set on the man who bought Contra down, Alex Hammerstone.  Will this end up backfiring?  In NWA, the Junior Heavyweight Tournament is underway.  Ariya Daivari won with The Magic Carpet Ride, utilizing a prayer rug for the pin.  Austin Idol asked a twenty-something Joe Galli about a fifty year old song.
