The spookiness continues at Hogwarts after the first attack. Things are starting to look rather grim for Harry, and the whole school wants to learn more about the Chamber of Secrets, and the Heir(ess) of Slytherin. Such a great chapter because of how much it sets up for the rest of the series. This is the first time the word "Mudblood" is used and there is so much discussion about it and the characters in this chapter. It was so great to unpack it all with my guest co-host.

In this episode, I'm discussing chapter 6 of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: Gilderoy Lockhart. We are introduced to some new characters, such as Colin Creevey and Justin Finch-Fletchley, as well as some important Mandrakes! One of the most notable people in this chapter is of course, Gilderoy Lockhart, an absolute ridiculous fraud, and students are noticing on the first day. Yikes..not a good look for him. However, all he's concerned about is his fame, and tries to project that onto Harry, who by the way, is already more famous than he ever will be.

Ever been attacked by a tree? Well, Harry and Ron have. That's right, it's The Whomping Willow! In this chapter, I discuss Chapter 5 of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! This tree is so intense it gets a chapter named after it. They have some luck in this chapter for sure-both good and bad. Sorry Dobby, and sorry Snape (not really sorry to you Snape because Harry can't be expelled because he needs to learn magic and defeat the most powerful Dark wizard of all time, but you already knew that, didn't you)

Chapter 4 of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets discussion! At Flourish and Blotts!! There's a lot of firsts in this chapter. Diary, necklace, vanishing cabinet, Hand of Glory, Knockturn Alley, Gilderoy Lockhart, Lucius Malfoy!! Fun chapter that is done very well in the movie. I talk about why some of these firsts are so important, and how they tie into big things in the series, such as Voldemort and Horcruxes!!

In this episode, I talk about Chapter 3 of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, The Burrow! Harry finally escapes the awful Dursley house with the help of some of my favorite characters: Ron, Fred, and George! As he travels to the Burrow, he learns more about the Wizarding World and is finally in a good place, mentally and physically. 

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore!!!! What a movie!!! I give my honest opinion about it after my first two showings, what I liked, what I didn't like! I really enjoy this series and would love to know what everyone else thought!  Although I think the movie left more to be desired, I still enjoyed it and liked the Wizarding World connections.

Chamber of Secrets!!!!!! So excited to start discussing the second installment in this amazing series!! I love where there story is heading and I discuss the first two chapters of this book in this episode!!!! The Chamber of Secrets book/movie is where I got the name for this podcast!!

Poor Harry is having the worst birthday being stuck at the Dursleys. He hasn't even heard from his friends all summer. However, a certain little house-elf is responsible for that...

I discuss the Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore trailer #2! This was such an exciting trailer filled with some cool shots... but it raised even more questions and answered none of mine from the first trailer. I cannot wait for this movie! Let me know what you thought of the trailer.
