On this episode of The HERshyt Show, Hersh interviews author Zara Koshinsky Gillis who is the author of "How to be the CEO of YOUR Healthcare Team" If you have ever been to a healthcare provider and felt confused, uncertain or like there was more you should have said or done to manage the information and interaction, this book is for you! The consequences of not taking ownership and accountability for your healthcare team can range from mild inconveniences to serious negative outcomes.

Drawing on the author’s personal experience, lessons learned from mentors, and providers along the way, this will help you turn traditional thinking about how you manage your healthcare upside down. In learning the process and incorporating the strategies into your life and management of your healthcare, you will transform how you approach healthcare services by visualizing yourself as the “CEO” of your personal healthcare organization.

This manual will help you complete an organization chart to understand your organization. After this, various tools and techniques will help you assess performance, fire providers (when necessary), make new selections, show appreciation and consider ethical responsibilities in the rapidly changing environment. This is a lot of work, but no one said being a CEO is easy. The outcome will be well worth the effort and improve the quality of communication both for you and your providers leading to better outcomes for all.

On this episode of The HERshyt Show, Hersh and Felicia Discuss the Law of Attraction. The law of attraction is a philosophy suggesting that positive thoughts bring positive results into a person's life, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes. It is based on the belief that thoughts are a form of energy and that positive energy attracts success in all areas of life, including health, finances, and relationships.

The 3 Laws:
Like attracts like: This law suggests that similar things are attracted to one another. It means that people tend to attract people who are similar to them—but it also suggests that people's thoughts tend to attract similar results. Negative thinking is believed to attract negative experiences, while positive thinking is believed to produce desirable experiences.

Nature abhors a vacuum: This law of attraction suggests that removing negative things from your life can make space for more positive things to take their place. It is based on the notion that it is impossible to have a completely empty space in your mind and in your life. Since something will always fill this space, it is important to fill that space with positivity, proponents of this philosophy say.

The present is always perfect: This law focuses on the idea that there are always things you can do to improve the present moment. While it might always seem like the present is somehow flawed, this law proposes that, rather than feeling dread or unhappiness, you should focus your energy on finding ways to make the present moment the best that it can be.

According to law Harassment is unwelcome conduct that is based on race, color, religion, sex (including sexual orientation, gender identity, or pregnancy), national origin, older age (beginning at age 40), disability, or genetic information (including family medical history).

Sexual harassment includes unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature in the workplace or learning environment, according to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Sexual harassment does not always have to be specifically about sexual behavior or directed at a specific person. For example, negative comments about women as a group may be a form of sexual harassment. Sexual harassment interferes with your performance by threatening your job security or becoming an obstacle to effective work.

Although sexual harassment laws do not usually cover teasing or offhand comments, these behaviors can also be upsetting and have a negative emotional impact.

When adults respond quickly and consistently to bullying behavior they send the message that it is not acceptable. Research shows this can stop bullying behavior over time.

Parents, school staff, and other adults in the community can help kids prevent bullying by talking about it, building a safe school environment, and creating a community-wide bullying prevention strategy.
