In this episode we explore Mark’s work while also offering practical tools for developing the awareness and compassion necessary to make a radical shift in the way we think and feel. Mark states that the good news coming out of neuroscience is that your brain and negative habits can change based on how you use your attention. “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” Dr. Seuss

Reading has changed my life in more ways than one. It is reading that has allowed me to escape my previous existence into a world that is much more meaningful to me. It is a habit that I wish I got into earlier but never did.

Some say if you read a book a week that over two years it is like completing a bachelors degree. I guess it must depend on the type or books you read. In my experience the learning and increased knowledge I have received by reading books has had great impact in my life.

In this Podcast episode I wish to share with your techniques you can use to develop a solid reading habit moving into this year. I have been inspired by a blog that I read on Lifehack dot org website here.

Some a new to me others are not. I reflect on my experience with these in hope that they will inspire you to read more this year and excel.

I did a podcast earlier last year on the benefits of reading. Episode 140 – 9 Reasons Why Reading Will Improve and Change Your Life.

You might feel that your skills and talents are being wasted. It might be that you just don't feel you are living the life you truly desire.

For whatever number of reasons, the facts indicate that many of us, up to and over 80 percent of us, are dissatisfied with our work.
