To wrap up our Halloween special episodes, we look at the shambling hordes and the intestine-ripping fiends we all know and love, from their appearance as we know them in the late great George A. Romero’s 1968 classic, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, all the way up to now, where they’re everywhere. We discuss their cultural relevance, their impact on our perception of culture, and how it really wouldn’t have been possible without the foresight of the aforementioned Godfather of the Undead. So barricade the doors, stock up your supplies, gather your survivors, and get out your long-planned zombie apocalypse plans (let’s be honest: we’ve all got one, right?) for the last of our spooky specials. Spoilers for various films. (Originally recorded 22/10/19)
