3. Modeling

7. Continuous Improvement Mindset (Kaizen)
1. The 80/20 Principle (Pareto Principle) by Vilfredo Pareto
Interpretation: The 80/20 Principle reveals that for many outcomes, approximately 80% of the end result comes from only 20% of the causes. In other words, a small percentage of inputs have a much larger effect than others. This percentage does not have to add up to be 100; 1% of the inputs could lead to 50% of the results, or 20% of the inputs could lead to 95% of the results.
2. The Heroic Choice
Interpretation: The single hardest thing that I can do in any situation. The one emotionally most challenging thing. Whatever I have been avoiding doing the most is the exact right thing that I need to do next.
3. Modeling
Interpretation: Modeling is the process of achieving a certain outcome by studying how someone else has successfully done it, then doing the same things that they did.
4. E + R = O (Event + Response = Outcome) by Dr. Robert Resnick
Interpretation: Dr. Robert Resnick, a psychotherapist in Los Angeles, taught me a very simple but very important formula. The formula is: E + R = O (Event + Response = Outcome) The basic idea is that every outcome you experience in life (whether it is success or failure, wealth or poverty, health or illness, intimacy or estrangement, joy or frustration) is the result of how you have responded to an earlier event or events in your life. If you don’t like the outcomes you are currently getting, there are two basic choices you can make. 1. You can blame the event (E) for your lack of results (O). 2. You can instead simply change your responses (R) to the events (E)—the way things are—until you get the outcomes (O) you want. -Jack Canfield, The Success Principles
5. Relentless Solution Focus by Dr. Jason Selk
Interpretation: Relentless Solution Focus (RSF) is simply defined as within 60 seconds, replacing all negative thoughts with solution-focused thinking. -Dr. Jason Selk
6. Amplify The Good
Interpretation: Remind yourself of your successes and celebrate them. Focus on your strengths and what you do well. Appreciate what you have. Imagine your desired future.
7. Continuous Improvement Mindset (Kaizen)
Interpretation: Kaizen is a Japanese word that means "continuous improvement" or "change for the better".
