The famous Argentine invasion of the Falkland Islands was preceded and arguably inspired by a dramatic and largely forgotten event that took place almost 20 years earlier, when the sleepy Falkland Islanders awoke to the news that armed Argentinians had landed on their islands claiming them for Buenos Aires. This is the story of the 1966 Condor Operation.
