• Paul was an Apostle ordained by God! Is there any higher authority?

• Comfort (parakaleo) means to come alongside and help. Do you have any examples of being comforted or comforting another?

• Suffering is part of God's curriculum/toolbox .... How so?

• Read Acts 16. Isn't this example of praise while suffering great? Helpful?

• God HAS delivered us in the past. God IS delivering us now. God WILL deliver us in the future. (Do you believe this?)

• Read Philippians 3:12-14. Do you think Paul stayed down for long?

1) "One in Christ; Committed to Praying, Teaching and Reaching." How can you live out our Mission & Vision Statement, today?

2) Read Luke 8:4-15 again. How is your soil? Do you need to make changes in your life for your soil to be more fertile?

3) Dive deeper into Isaiah Chapter 6 - his call to ministry and experience with Jesus Christ. Like Isaiah, before we minister to others, we must permit God to minister to us (conviction-confession-cleansing). Discuss!

4) Is the Commission still Great? (Matthew 28:18-20). Do you think Christians have become complacent in reaching the unreached? Why or why not?

5) For the rest of 2023, set a reminder on your phone to pray Luke 10:2 at 10:02 am/pm that the Lord of the Harvest will raise up more workers for the harvest field within Hills View!

2) Re-read Paul's prayers in Ephesians 1:15-23 and 3:14-21. What encourages you and challenges you with these prayers?

3) Paul's prayers in Philippians 1, Colossians 1 and Ephesians 3 did not ask God for changes in circumstances for his beloved friends, but instead that they would know God better. Why?

4) Is your heart troubled today? Warren Wiersbe encourages us that, "one of the best ways to ease a troubled heart is to bathe it in the love of God!" What troubles do you need to take to God right now? Read 1 John 4:7-16 first, or while you pray.

5) Consider praying a psalm a day - pick a psalm and incorporate that psalm into your prayers throughout the day. Using Scripture for prayer prompts!
