On today's show I caught up with Langston Bristol. He is a hip-hop/r&b artist and musician/producer from the Metro Detroit area. Growing up he started his relationship with music by learning to play the drums as a kindergartener and then following that learning how to play the piano. Around the age of a 11 he began writing his own jazz songs on the piano and also experimenting with beat making. At the age of 14 he had written his very first rap ever and from that moment on he was hooked. Also through most of his grade school years he was part of a school choir and that influenced him to start singing.

On today's show I caught up with Mustafa Shakir who is a Nigerian American multi-hyphenate artist: actor, writer, rapper, and director .Born in Winston-Salem, NC he moved to the Bronx, before a year old and then Harlem not long after, where he spent the rest of his formative years. In the days prior to committing himself to the life of an artist Mustafa was a barber, a personal trainer, marketing and advertising rep, small business owner, among other jobs he did to “hustle” as he puts it. “I had more jobs than a Jamaican.” He began his career in Theatre at The Negro Ensemble Company doing plays with the late Chuck Patterson. It was there that he was discovered by Jeff Block, casting director for New York Undercover and went on to do television and film. Since then he has starred in numerous critically acclaimed shows such as Quarry, The Night Of, Brawl in Cell Block 99, The Deuce, and most recently the second season of Marvel’s Luke Cage as the notorious John McIver aka Bushmaster. He is currently filming a live action version of the hit anime Cowboy Bebop for Netflix. In addition to being a busy actor Mustafa is a long-time hip-hop artist who dropped an instant classic “MasterPeace Theatre Volume 1” in August 2019 with producer James “Goldfingz” Wheeler of the Suicide Squad for iBreaK Records. Another project, Chameleon 42 recorded with the Soul Council of Jamla Records is due out in 2020.

On today's show I caught up with Lydia Lyon. Singer, songwriter, and violinist, Lydia was born in the United States and currently based in the Netherlands. Her career boasts many highlights such as performances for TV network Nickelodeon, Berry Gordy of Motown Records, and Wyclef Jean of The Fugees. Her originals have been featured on many major radio stations, with regular spins from England's BBC Radio, Kiss FM, Radio 105 (Italy), and 3FM (Netherlands).Lyon's powerful and nostalgic vocals have amassed millions of streams with tracks supported by Don Diablo and Martin Garrix.

On today's show I caught up with Da Inphamus Amadeuz. Artist, Producer, Filmmaker.... Entrepreneur! He exemplifies what a future hip hop mogul looks like. Stepping away from the microphone for 6 years, Da Inphamus Amadeuz quickly established himself a staple within the hip hop community as a film maker, magazine owner and DJ. From National Geographic to an on air personality on "The Lord Sear Special" on Shade 45 (SiriusXM), Inph as he is called amongst his peers, is now one of the top sort after media owners in the game. After the success of Da Inphamus Amadeuz previous album The Untouchables The Bronx born MC / Radio Dj (Shade 45 Thursdays 3p to 4p) returns to mic with his new EP Any Day Now (The Prelude) The 6 track extended play is the personification of a classic New York project, sonically taking its listener the essence of hip hop.

On today's show I caught up with Gold Lemonade. First discovered by music legend Jackie Jackson (of The Jackson Family), Gold Lemonade – the highly unconventional duo of French born DJ/producer Lya and Caribbean rooted producer/vocalist Jvgg – were signed to Jackie’s Critically Amused label in 2018. Enhanced by Jvgg’s infectious vocals, the sonically innovative DJ Duo has been pushing boundaries with a unique G-House/Bass House vibe, showcasing their originality and creating an unforgettable live experience.

On today's show I caught up with P.Lan. The Orlando based artist P. Lan (short for Parker Landers) lives a double life. On one side, he's a lawyer, fighting for the good of his community. And the other side? A musician, writing for the good of his listeners. Launching his career shortly after a mental breakdown, P. Lan writes with an emphasis on mental health. You can find P. Lan penning verses about the struggles of depression and anxiety, and in the span of only a few tracks, find him covering topics such as love, excess, money, ego, and politics. With such versatility, listening to P. Lan's discography can be a wild ride. So it's no wonder that his critically acclaimed debut album is affectionately titled Roller Coaster. On today's show I caught up with Star 2. Born in a Thai refugee camp, Star 2 moved from Burma to San Diego at the age of 5. Star 2 was Introduced to music at a young age by a musician uncle that lived with the family. He is influenced by artists such as Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and Luh Kel, Star 2’s concepts have been love and heartbreak.

On today's show I caught up with Chaney Crabb one half of the Entheos duo with Navene Koperweis as her partner professionally and personally.
